Re:Show HN: Relar – an open source music hosting and streaming service on Monday January 25, 2021 @07:42AM (#25902485)

Lots of people have collections of audio files that they want to upload to the cloud so that they they can stream them using web and mobile apps. This was the case for many people using Google Play Music before it was removed last fall (including myself). I have about 2,000 mp3 files that I've collected over the years that I want to sync to my desktop and phone for playback. Does this help answer your question?

Re:Ask HN: Who's looking for a co-founder? on Wednesday January 06, 2021 @06:20PM (#25664129)

Thank you :) I'm hoping that some of the YTM crowd might be interested in Relar, especially since a lot have switched from Google Play Music.

Thanks :) And thank you for the feedback. I'm also on a recent MBP and safari and haven't had that issue. I'll try to reproduce!

Thanks!! As for music rights, all music is uploaded by users :) I'd like to add the ability to purchase or stream music but it would take so much work. Your app looks fantastic btw!

I'm building a music hosting + streaming solution with web, iOS and Android apps.

Currently running a closed beta with 50 ish registered users. Looking for a co-founder to help continue development of the apps. iOS and/or Android experience would be great!

Located in eastern Canada. If interested, feel free to email me at [email protected] :)
