Does it just show everyone the same stuff? Or is it personalised to my ratings?

What do you mean "after moving in"?

That's a good idea. I always wonder: what if the site is already set up correctly or what if you can't make any movement in search rankings (due to competition, industry, anything)

Except it is limited to 16 people

That's a good idea. I guess I'd have to look into shipping food and other products

I can write you one if you can't find one

There's not many bus services in my city and the taxi situation is:

- Flag the taxi down - all the same price

- Hailo which loads of people use all the time now

- 20% discount taxis

- 25% discount taxis

So I don't think we really have a taxi problem

That sounds great haha. I live in Ireland so it's bound to be popular!

Some university students did this in my city recently. I was disappointed that they overpriced it (1 euro for a cup of lemonade)

Your title is a common quote, I'm not sure if you're misusing it on purpose or not

I'm thinking things like pizza price comparison apps etc

What's an idea or creation that you've had success with locally that I can copy?

What's an an idea that you have implemented successfully in your local area that I can bring to my local area?

A well constructed laptop with good processor and lots of RAM (16gb) that has a great trackpad and is sub 800 euro! (Sorry - just venting)

Re:Ask HN: Idea Sunday on Sunday June 15, 2014 @03:15PM (#7896012)

A device that is essentially a smartphone when used on it's own and a PC when it is connected with a monitor and wireless keyboard

Re:Ask HN: Which laptop do you use? on Wednesday June 11, 2014 @03:16PM (#7879882)

i5 and 16gb of ram brings it to 701.75 Euro unfortunately.

LinkedIn.. the most popular spam website in existence. At least this is a good move I guess.

Ask HN: Which laptop do you use?

I'm looking for a laptop that is lightweight and has a good processor for about 400-500 euro. I will be mainly programming on it. What does HN use? I am wondering if my budget is too low. Ideally I'd get a macbook but it's out of my price range right now.

Yeah but that information should be picked up in the search

Re:Building JavaScript Tools You Didn't Think Were Possible on Sunday February 16, 2014 @05:18PM (#7249609)

I like the slideshow. Did you use a library for that? And is there a slideshow -> single page converter JS tool?

Re:Building JavaScript Tools You Didn't Think Were Possible on Sunday February 16, 2014 @05:16PM (#7249601)

I have completely the opposite opinion. I think the only reason I read the whole thing was because it was a slideshow.

Also try this:

"Futurama holiday" shows one results which has the word "Episode" in the description. Try "Futurama holiday episode" and you get no results.

What type of software can I sell to a company? Seriously, I just don't know what to build.
