Re:Andrej Karpathy: Intro to Large Language Models [Video] on Thursday November 23, 2023 @08:15AM (#38392402)
This video was very informative and clear for a beginner like me who is curious about AI and ML. I'd like to learn more about how to finetune llama for different tasks and domains. Does anyone have any recommendations for resources that explain this concept in a simple way and gradually introduce the technical details and tools required?
Another similar project that I use for mocking API server https://github.com/typicode/json-server

Re:Realtime streaming from torrents in the browser on Sunday September 07, 2014 @10:27AM (#8281206)
Well technically it's not but I think the objective is quite the same. It lets me stream video from a torrent.

There's another service that I use that exactly do the same thing and it works well. http://put.io
Re:We Need Viable Search Engine Competition on Saturday January 04, 2014 @12:36PM (#7011946)
Here's an idea... how about instead of using just one search engine website, browsers will have a functionality that allows you to search for something and have it query to 3 different search engine at the same time? Users can configure which 3 search engine he/she wants to use. That way, website owners won't be so affected when one search engine screwed him up.
Re:Kevin Rose’s idea for a new blogging platform called Tiny on Monday December 16, 2013 @05:06AM (#6913833)
That concept would be interesting for status updates. Like having a blurred background image of you when you posted the update?
Re:Ask HN: .net vs .co, Which TLD would you choose? on Monday October 14, 2013 @10:58PM (#6551229)
I think .io appeals only to techie/developer market
Agree. They should use different APN.

Hope Smart would support it also

Re:How to do a great product promo video for less than $200 on Tuesday October 16, 2012 @11:57AM (#4660378)
It looks pretty decent and gets the message across. I would suggest to add either sound fx or background music to spice it up a little bit. :)
Re:How to do a great product promo video for less than $200 on Tuesday October 16, 2012 @11:34AM (#4660251)
I'm curious how long the entire process took to finish (in terms of man-hours).
The only compelling feature for me on this is the Skype integration. I would love to use GTalk/Hangout if only more people use it.
Re:.mail app on Wednesday July 25, 2012 @08:59PM (#4293865)
Google Wave tried to fix that problem but with the radical change in the way we use email, it failed.
Re:Chrome Overtakes Firefox Globally for First Time on Thursday December 01, 2011 @10:59PM (#3302620)
I love Chrome since I don't have to install external flash player plugin which is kinda annoying. Chrome has a built-in flash player. You don't have to update flash and restart all your browser.

This is pretty cool. Who made this (just curious)?
Re:The Top 100 most popular Google+ users on Monday July 04, 2011 @04:06PM (#2727691)
Will be very surprised if Bill Gates is on G+ although he's on Twitter. One thing for sure, Steve Jobs will never be there.
Re:The Top 100 most popular Google+ users on Monday July 04, 2011 @04:03PM (#2727679)
He's also on Twitter
Re:Minimum Database Wrapper for PHP projects on Monday July 04, 2011 @03:07PM (#2727481)
Almost all PHP frameworks have already DB wrapper built-in. If you're a PHP dev and not using a framework, then you should consider using one.
Re:The Top 100 most popular Google+ users on Monday July 04, 2011 @02:40PM (#2727376)
Interesting... Mark Z. has more followers than Larry and Sergey.
I'm referring to the technology/approach he used to present the story and not the actual story.
Re:Google just launched prizes.org on Monday July 04, 2011 @10:34AM (#2726628)
It feels to me that it's more of trying to show independence of Slide team from Google.
Looks really cool. This would be an amazing tablet app for children. +1 if there's a voice over option. Although it seems a LOT of work to put together.
