Given they will have the debit card saved, perhaps Snapchat is thinking it will be much easier to offer products to their users in the future.
Re:Confusing UI in iOS7 on Tuesday September 24, 2013 @11:58AM (#6438685)
That was one of the first things I noticed. You can disable it in general settings but unfortunately it is all or nothing. Now I can only pull it up from the lock screen.

Haha thanks for reminding me about the error 37 video by francis. Classic! I remember that error lasting for several days after launch.

Ah I see.. I misunderstood the first time around. I thought you meant to store the user table in a flat file. Thank you for the explanation. That reminds me, I need to convert to Innodb one of these days.

Yah this story made me cringe. What exactly do you mean by:

"Using a relational database as a flat data store? Super bad."

Are you referring to the users table? I am not too accustomed to using flat files, so I am curious.

Re:Show HN: Built a Hacker News radio web app I can listen to on Tuesday January 22, 2013 @10:46AM (#5097607)
Perhaps a better approach would be to add a "preload" button, and then use the hidden element as you suggested so we aren't loading audio we aren't interested in.

Another idea would be to add a personal user queue to do the same thing. Awesome site btw.

Re:The Creepy Details of Facebook's New Graph Search on Saturday January 19, 2013 @12:16PM (#5083940)
On the advertising side, I don't think it matters what the sharing settings are. We have been targeting on very specific parameters with quite a large reach for a while now.
looks like highcharts JS
That's an interesting idea, but I would be nervous logging in to services in public as someone could be watching. Or even worse a store employee could watch the tape and figure out the movements. Although, I am probably just being paranoid.
Re:Developers: We are no longer Apple’s target market on Tuesday November 13, 2012 @10:48AM (#4778567)
FYI adding a trailing forward slash to the url fixes the database error: http://johnkary.net/developers-we-are-no-longer-apples-targe...
