Interesting choice of words.

Re:Mesh: I tried Htmx, then ditched it on Tuesday September 23, 2025 @07:18PM (#45354081)
I'm already a fan of htmx, you don't have to sell me anymore.

Insanely well crafted phishing, godspeed man.

Hello, I'm a full stack product engineer with over 25 years experience building apps on the web. I'm highly proficient in Node.js, JavaScript / TypeScript and PHP. I've contributed to a lot open source projects including but not limited to, Laravel, Vite, Tailwind, Alpine.js and Dokku. I know React, Vue and Angular like the back of my hand and can hit the ground running quickly in Next.js, Remix, Astro and Nuxt. Htmx CEO too, btw.

Currently I am building a cloud hosting platform at https://primcloud.com

I am looking for a single client to give all my worktime to while I build and bootstrap Primcloud.

Re:Firefox Has Moved to Firefox.com on Wednesday August 27, 2025 @04:03PM (#45044448)
Literally everyone I know who isn't technical calls Firefox "mozilla". Including older people.
This is awesome, Ben!

Ehhh, only seems that way because you're so entrenched in React with minimal htmx experience.

I've used both pretty extensively and they both feel similar in the magic aspect, except htmx is cleaner.

They're talking about it but to actually see the thing they're talking about you have to pay before the part of the article that links to it is clickable
Re: on Wednesday June 04, 2025 @04:39PM (#44185255)
I'd agree typically but paywalling open source government software just to talk about it is wild behavior.

I don't know, why don't you do the research and let us know?
Re:It's OK to hardcode feature flags on Sunday February 02, 2025 @10:38AM (#42909316)
$500 a month and it has had many major outages in 2024 alone. lol

Re:It's OK to hardcode feature flags on Saturday February 01, 2025 @01:24PM (#42900704)
You know what I would find worse than telling my customers that they can't access the application they paid for and works because I farmed my auth out to a 3rd party that is having an outage?

Telling them that my auth provider isn't out, but the thing I use to show them a blue button vs a red button is.

Oof.

You're statistically more likely to become a burnout drunk than a burnout stoner.

Literally every highly successful person you look up to in tech has been a proponent of weed usage, hell some even went farther with psychedelics.

Like op, I too attribute a lot of my success to being a daily user of weed since I was 12.

Re:Back to basics: Why we chose long-polling over websockets on Sunday January 05, 2025 @03:14PM (#42604655)
You can alias it if you're worried about shadowing.

    import { setTimeout as loiter } from "node:timers/promises";
    await loiter(500);
Re:Back to basics: Why we chose long-polling over websockets on Sunday January 05, 2025 @03:13PM (#42604641)
In the context of Node.js, where op said, yes it is easier. But it's a new thing and most people don't realize timers in Node are awaitable yet, so the other way is less about "works everywhere" and more "this is just what I know"

Heads up your link to Parka Software on the front page of your personal website is broken. Missing the .com at the end.

Re:Htmx 2.0.4 Released on Saturday December 14, 2024 @03:10PM (#42419126)
Same. Used htmx to write a pacemaker. Wish I'd used React instead. RIP dad, I miss you.
Re:Htmx 2.0.4 Released on Saturday December 14, 2024 @03:09PM (#42419116)
Anyone can be htmx CEO, even you could be without knowing it.

I'm an htmx CEO, btw.

Re:Htmx 2.0.4 Released on Saturday December 14, 2024 @02:24PM (#42418911)
This would make sense if 2.0.3 was released long enough ago for people to start using and relying on a bug, but it was released less than 2 months ago...
And also at this point a lot of people are just sick and tired of fighting autocorrect when they type a word right but the autocorrect deems that word not the correct one and swaps it with another (for example typing "fuck" and autocorrect swaps with "duck" and have just begun "eh, anyone with an ounce of IQ will read that how its intended" and move on with their time.
Re:UnitedHealthcare CEO fatally shot in midtown Manhattan on Wednesday December 04, 2024 @12:58PM (#42320073)
You make it sound like "refusing to help" was in the context of a random person begging for help to a stranger.

It's more "hey, pay me a percentage of your wages and when you need help with medical bills, we will help you..." then denying the help.

Re:UnitedHealthcare CEO fatally shot in midtown Manhattan on Wednesday December 04, 2024 @12:54PM (#42320017)
The wealth gap is higher now than it was during the French Revolution, if anyone was interested in "history repeating itself" insights into the future.
And then when this project explodes and becomes as well known as Electron is eclipsing Google Colab (I never heard of it until today) then your argument is invalid.

And you're right, we can keep getting into this loops, so lets nip it in the bud where it all begins and shocker, not tell people to change the name of their stuff because something else exists with a similar name but completely unrelated.
