You want to assume whatever is best for the environment. Worst case, if the assumption is wrong, we are preventing more pollution.

Most ecigs are the cheaper disposable kind.

Ecigs cause tons of litter from the refill cartridges and from the batteries. Ecigs are much worse of a pollution problem than actual cigarettes.

The problem with ecigs is that they are way more polluting than regular cigarettes, due to all the plastic cartridges from the liquid and the batteries in the ecig devices.
So regardless of anything else, it’s good that ecigs are banned as much as possible.

The real fix is to never fly on a 737 MAX

If the MAX was designed correctly then MCAS would not be needed in the first place.
Fixing MCAS is fixing the wrong problem.

That’s a bit like saying “I wish I had had the idea for a search engine before Google, then I would have been the next Google.” It doesn’t work like that in business.
You could have given Microsoft everything they needed to dominate in mobile and they still would have screwed it up because of the Microsoft mentality back then. Even after iPhone came out, Ballmer famously said iPhones were stupid.
