Now this might strike some readers as harsh, but I believe that everyone involved in this story should die.
What does this have to do with Claro?
Why does the randomization have to happen in the database query? Assuming there aren't any large gaps in the distribution of IDs, and if you know the max_id, couldn't you pick a random number between min_id and max_id and get the record whose ID matches that random number?
I'm not sure what you mean that Messenger as a platform is gone. I still use their messaging app all the time, is that not the same thing?

We're migrating our apps from Vue.js to HTMX, and it has been a great experience. The size of our codebase has consistently gone down as we move things to HTMX, and it feels like the level of complexity goes down as well.
I highly recommend using HTMX.

I'm trying to find an article that was shared on HN recently that described different types of web applications and the recommended architecture to sue for each type (SPA, PWA, etc.)I think the article also had a Greek-sounding title.Thanks.
How is it better? I'm curious.

sha1 hashes are not secure, and collisions can be practically produced by attackers.I'm wondering if these attack strategies could one day be used to find collisions for the pieces in a bittorrent archive to effectively "recover" the data that was originally used to create the bittorrent archive.Let's say the piece size is 4 KiB, that means there are 2^(8x4x1024) possible combinations of bytes...
Unrelated, but I'm curious if console emulators could gain performance by hand-writing certain parts of it in assembly (the JIT recompiler, for example).
If they were able to do it without any repercussions or consequences, why would they ever stop doing it?
