My product,
https://autenti.ca/smile is a tool to boost your mood that uses facial recognition to detect whether you are smiling or not.

I have been using IndieHackers, Reddit, and HackerNews to ask for feedback about my landing page.I feel like I am getting close to launch day, so I would like to know in which places you recommend to post a newborn product?
TipVFL I made a mistake yesterday and introduced a bug that showed an error screen by default... That's why you might have seen that message. I also open the site from Android Chrome.
Regarding the beard, I haven't done many tests (a don't have bear on my own) but the service I use behind scenes is Amazon Rekognition (https://aws.amazon.com/rekognition/image-features/) so there's not much I can do in order to improve the service
Oh rhimanathwani, thank you very much for your comment. It's such a great idea that one of having the computer unlock only after you smile for at least 10 secs! It's genius.
This website was a quick test but i can see that it has many other applications. I will keep in mind your suggestion.

I totally understand I didn't foresee it. I added a 'About privacy' section based on your recommendations where I say that not picture is saved or shared, and that the camera is not used without your permission.
Thanks interesting. In my naive way of thinking about this I think people will just open the webpage, allow access to the camera and smile for at least 4 seconds.
I just did a test with a person that was around and she also was reluctant about smiling in front of the camera.
Do you have any recommendations to overcome this?

Smile to boost your mood.
Open the webapp and start smiling, it will keep track of your smiling time so that you can review it later by day, week, etc.You would also be able to see the amount of time people have spent smiling worldwide. You can invite your friends to smile as well and, maybe, get to know how many times and for how long they have smiled thanks to you.In [this...
Thank you very much for the guidance. I should have read the faqs before posting this thread
This is an amazing story. The comments from your friend seem to me very reasonable.
Right now I'm volunteering at a surf shop in Portugal that covers a place to sleep and breakfast. Do i have had time to work on my ideas but I'm not generating any income. I'll keep in mind your friend's experience when tried to work as a contractor for a startup.
Thanks for sharing this story
Those are interesting cases. Definitively the will power works as a muscle and has limited resources. Thanks for your comment

I am working on my own idea at https://autenti.ca and I need to generate some income to keep working on it.Most of the offers I found are for full-time jobs. It feels unethical to join a company just to leave it after a couple of months. So where do you find short-term contractor jobs?My main skill is taking mockups/wireframes and making a working product out of it in a timely manner...

I developed an Alexa skill to track your mood (https://autenti.ca) and I want to learn from more experienced people.Do you have a story to share as a developer?
Do you have a story as an user?Thank you for sharing your thoughts
I don't have experience in either. More like aws (lambdas, sqs, dynamodb, ecs, emr, kinesis, etc...) and reactjs or vuejs
That's a very wise advice swatcoder. Thank you very much
MVP's and rapid prototyping are my specialities. Where do you think one can find people looking to develop rapid prototypes? Projects that are meant to be a proof of concept and then discarded
What kind of tasks do you offer?
That sounds like a right approach. Do you know about a place/website where I could find something like that?

I love the startup pace and the possibilities of the early days, however I want to work on my own projects and ideas. Does one excludes the other? How would you feel if I, as an applicant to your startup, tell you that I want to work with you but just for a couple of months (max. 4 months)?
I'm developing a personalized videos generator. This simple version will send you an email daily on the topics that you select from medium.
It uses Amazon Polly to read the title and subtitle of the first 3 posts written in english per tag. It then combines all the videos into a single one and uploads it to YouTube as unlisted so that only you can see it.
I believe that soon, in around 2 years, we will have a lot of engaging content (blog posts, images, videos) created and maintained by bots. The main application I see to having bots generating engaging content is education. A lot of content creator are educators themselves but they cannot make all the videos people want, it just doesn't scale. We need to give to any person the opportunity to watch a video generated on demand with the same quality as the Kurzgesagt - In a Nutshell videos and in virtually any language.
What are your thoughts? Do you know about anybody else working on the same things?
Thanks for taking the time to read this. And please subscribe!

Thanks for your answer. My company does provide health care, the issue is that as a remote worker I don't want to start face-to-face therapy. I've looked for online therapy but I don't like the things I find.

What do you do when, as a remote company employee, you need psychotherapy or help in mental related issues?Have you felt like feeling psychotherapy when working as a remote employee? What have you done to feel better?
