Looks super cool, is there a trial or do I have to buy it first to even try it ?

Re:Most Expensive Drugs in the U.S. on Tuesday June 08, 2021 @06:39PM (#27442027)
Yea, well Myasthenia Gravis is not terminal, so I’ll likely be on Solaris for the next 30-40 years… so $28,000,000 USD :(
Re:Most Expensive Drugs in the U.S. on Tuesday June 08, 2021 @06:36PM (#27441995)
Well… Because my doctor prescribed it and said it’s necessary, and as it turns out it was…. I’m just thankful that I have good insurance…

Yep, I can’t testify personally that Solaris is a treatment , not a cure
Re:Most Expensive Drugs in the U.S. on Tuesday June 08, 2021 @06:31PM (#27441937)
So fwiw I take Solaris every two weeks to treat Myasthenia Gravis and it probably saved my life. It’s an auto immune disease that causes voluntary muscles to quickly tire, and you would be surprised what actually qualifies at voluntary, eg your diaphragm…. So yea, these drugs may be unaffordable and that needs to change , but they do save lives.

Re:Ask HN: How much recurring income do you generate and from what? on Wednesday November 19, 2014 @09:08AM (#8630051)
I am a Google apps reseller and have a few customers. My customers get the accounts for a small discount then what they would direct and I make a small margin. Right now the total on that is about 1200 a year. I pretty much use that as a "toy slush fund" and use it to buy geeky stuff without getting in trouble from the boss ( wife ).
