Twitch is definitely doing something right. Non-mainstream sports should definitely see what Twitch has done with the gaming world and try to do the same with their perspective sports. ESPN does a great job covering the mainstream sports, and they have yet to capture the secondary sports market. Seems like an opportunity for someone to do.
I agree with the idea of not being sure about MM's stance on quality. If they literally thought we wouldn't be able to taste the difference - that's a bit disappointing.

Can you have a filter to rank by points? Would love to sort based on that to see the best "Show HN". :)
It's amazing how much folks can learn in such a short amount of time. I wonder if she was learning full-time or on the side.
Great concept -- and I'm all about increasing the exposure of startups. :)
Why isn't there any pagination on the site? I scrolled down to the bottom and wanted to see more, but no more movies.
Totally agree. Our first pass was to pull in location information from Google Places and Foursquare, but we feel the beauty of something like this would be the unique locations like you mentioned above.
Thanks a ton for the feedback.
@kodablah: We just fixed the bug -- let us know how it looks on your end. :)
Ahhh...got it. Thanks for clarifying that.
thanks! we're looking to add more unique location data to make the experience even better.
hey zach, we just fixed the bug. just tried both seattle to redmond and seattle to yakima -- worked all the way through. let me know if there's any issues on your end still. thanks!
that's exactly what got us super excited about it. we didn't want to miss any of those cool unique place when we were going on a drive anywhere.
@kodablah: thanks for finding that bug. a couple of folks have notified us about that, and we're working to resolve it as we speak. cheers!
@schultzy: thanks a ton for the feedback. here are my responses to each observation:
1. that makes a ton of sense. adding filtering in the future was something we were thinking about and we'll add this suggestion into that list.
2. you can always zoom the window in closer, but we'll look at making the text on the map more readable.
thanks again. :)
That's funny you say that. The "time" situation was something we struggled with to find what the best experience would be. The questions we had were:
- Do you stop 1 hour all the time when you stop at a restaurant? What if you take it to-go?
- What if you stop at a stop like the World's Largest Frying Pan for just 5 minutes? Should we allow users to add custom time limits for each of the stops?
- Would we be complicating things adding custom times?
All great questions and things for us to think about. Thanks a ton for the feedback.
@zacharycohn: thanks for letting us know. we're looking into it as we speak. hold please. :)
@porfirio: Thanks a lot for trying it out. We're currently pulling in data from various sources like Foursquare, Google Places, etc. -- but we do add unique stops as well. Currently we've filled out unique stops for the PNW (since we're based here), but CA is definitely one we'd like to tackle soon.
I'm not sure if it's just me, or is there a ton of news coming out surrounding ebooks? Google eBooksore, book renting on Kindles, Kobo > Borders, and Nook color doing well. With more readers gravitating toward eBooks, I think authors are going to want to continue to have that personal touch with their readers. Digital autographs may be filling that void in a small way. I'm excited to see what's next. I know I want a personalized haiku. :)
I think company culture is what you make of it, especially in a startup. You have the ability to help shape the workplace you're in and if you don't contribute, don't complain.
For me, I want to enjoy coming to work because of two reasons: (1) Building a product that connects with me and solves a real problem (2) I enjoy working with the people I'm with. It's the sense of camaraderie you build. All that other stuff contributes to that.
haha, love it! rockstar may be a bit over the top, i agree -- but come on, it's pretty clickable right? :)
i love #3 by the way.
i apologize that it wasn't clear. :(

That's what I figured. Thanks a lot for clarifying. :)
This is definitely interesting. I'm currently working at a startup, but it's always good to see how others work too. Is this specific to developers, or can business side folks attend too?
