My wife and one of my daughters have a gluten allergy (celiac) — would love to see your GF pizza crust recipe that you’ve perfected, if possible.
Re:Withings acquired by Nokia on Tuesday April 26, 2016 @12:30PM (#11573261)
I use their wifi scale every day and see no issue with this - it's a good chance for Withings to move faster, and for Nokia to become more relevant
> Are there certain neighborhoods that should be avoided on the basis of corrupt police activity?

No. It's largely a very safe city and a great place to live in. I've lived here for 16 years (2 in Lakeview, 1 in Uptown, 3 in the West Loop and 10 in Lincoln Square). If I can help answer any questions about the various neighborhoods, you can reach me via [email protected].

Re:Twitter Needs New Leadership on Thursday May 07, 2015 @10:31AM (#9505276)
Per Facebook as of March 2015, 936M people use the service every day, 798M using their phone. I love Twitter too, but with 13% of the world using it every day, it's no ghost town.
Nice app - I just downloaded it and added a few wins this year. Looking forward to using it.
Wow, that must have felt good to wrap up.

Ha :) They actually work from home four days a week, so he'd have to get in his car and drive to his house to do that.
Re:Why I quit my cushy corporate job to join a startup on Tuesday July 26, 2011 @04:00PM (#2809228)
Good luck! If you don't like where you land - it'll be ridiculously easy to find somewhere you will.
Re:What could you do with $41 Million? on Monday March 28, 2011 @11:05AM (#2378582)
Love this quote:

"I think, at the end of the year, if you picked your team right, you'd have a pretty good shot at a profitable business. And if it fails? Well, good news, you can do it all over again. 40 times. And still have $5 million left"

As someone who has bootstrapped a company to profitability, you're definitely right about people the most important ingredient.

I think Color definitely took a lot of money, but the goal is to get the app installed on every phone possible - and that will take a lot of advertising money.

Thanks - yep, design was done in-house by our design/UX director (http://www.signalhq.com/about-us/team/drew-myler). We're now focused on cleaning up our message so that you immediately know what the product does when hit the home page. I think a few walk through videos will be helpful, it's a great product.

Signal (http://www.signalhq.com) supports 13 including myself, co-founded in 2006. First few years as a founder we're incredibly tough (paid others but not ourselves), but we're doing great now.
I also didn't expect this but it doesn't really bother me either. It seems pretty logical to me - if I like something I'd like to have access to more of it.

Ask HN: QA service?

Any recommendations for products/services available for automated web and API testing? I'd like to be able to setup a suite of automated tests to run run externally (outside of Rackspace) and report results via email, API, etc. Thanks!

Not true: Orbitz, Feedburner, TicketsNow, many others

We've been using this for a few weeks now and it's been really helpful
Re:Google Apps: A Long Road Ahead on Thursday October 08, 2009 @01:37PM (#869491)
I think Google is going to get behind Apps in a big way - it's just natural progression for them. We've been using it for three years and absolutely love it. I don't understand why people think using Google Apps and Microsoft products are mutually exclusive - I still write contracts w/Word and use Excel for forecasting.
Re:Ask HN: Would you pay $5/yr for HN? on Thursday February 05, 2009 @03:32PM (#468632)
No, I wouldn't pay for it. Shouldn't the trolling issue naturally work it self out over time? If anonymous users are the issue perhaps add some additional validation of identities?
Re:Questions for Co-Founders (Gabor Cselle) on Wednesday February 04, 2009 @10:16AM (#465830)
The difference is that founder is singular, where co-founder is plural. I am a co-founder of a company because I co-founded it with another person. In my mind it has nothing to do with who's done what.

jamis has the right to support whatever he wants, it's his project that he designed for his purposes. if windows developers need to tweak for windows, they should fork capistrano. i guess jamis is saying, fork you! (ha)
