I'm writing about helping cats run a farm by building a website. The goal is to teach kids and whimsical adults some basic web development skills using Ruby on Rails. I hope to compile and expand the blog posts into a book. https://rubycat.farm/

Re:Ask PG: What Changed? on Saturday December 15, 2012 @08:26PM (#4926952)
That's not true. The article's claim was that an example of hacking a non-computer system was the "2nd most important question."
But the idea is that the site presents itself in a way that is optimal based on the medium being used by the user, right?

Why would "degrade" be the better way to refer to that idea?

Re:Ruby Fiddle: Ruby Snippets in the Browser on Thursday June 14, 2012 @12:26PM (#4112100)
exec('sudo cat /etc/shadow') => RestrictedCodeException System Calls disabled

Also, while File.read('/etc/passwd') works, at least File.read('/etc/shadow') doesn't.
