Use Chrome's multi-user feature for the different accounts. I manage around 10 different ones (private, youtube, nonprofits, others) like this with ease.

Any alternatives? Evernote is way too much for our organization's users. Google Keep looks great, but without folders it doesn't work for us :(

Re:Romania Has The Fastest IPv6 Adoption Rate on Thursday June 07, 2012 @08:54AM (#4078725)
I'm living in Romania now and can confirm this. My friends in Germany can only dream about such uplinks. Internetwise, Germany feels like a Second World Country for me now. The rds founder seems like a very smart man. I never met him but I like him already :)

Let's see if Cluj can continue to build and hold the startup scene there.

+1 for Guard. I recently switched to Mac and couldn't get stock livereload to run with my rvm'd 1.9.2 system ruby. I'm happy to have found Guard, I'm running it with livereload and compass and love the streamlining.

They're all together in the first tab. See the comments under the linked post.
Check out her blog, interesting stuff there, too: http://taradeliberto.blogspot.com/
running audio from 4 different apps simultaneously all mixed together

honestly, this just works out of the box for several years now (on ubuntu, debian and arch linux at least).

Didn't see this one before. It's a bit unfortunate but no showstopper. Stay tuned!
There's no theme for the first one (yet). You can signup on the site, we'll keep you posted!

Tell HN: You made us do it. Hack On, the Online Hackathon with Live Streaming

A couple of days ago I had this thought: what if someone would take hackathons online? I decided to ask HN (http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2293779) and got some great responses. But even better, an hour later I get that email from a fellow HN reader, SingAlong, expressing his interest to just make it happen. So here we are now, really excited to announce that on March 19th, 2011, there’ll...

Re:Ask HN: What about taking Hackathons online? on Sunday March 06, 2011 @04:07AM (#2293845)
While I know that feeling you could minimize it by streaming just your browser window or some other part of the desktop.

Ask HN: What about taking Hackathons online?

Living in a rural area I've never been to a hackathon or startup weekend. I realize those benefit massively from hackers being in one physical space with other fellow hackers, but I'm thinking about ways to take a hackathon online without losing too much momentum. Having seen Minecraft's notch stream entire coding sessions live I wonder if this could be a viable solution. I looked into it,...

Re:Why programmers find it so hard to be Christians on Saturday February 26, 2011 @01:58PM (#2266222)
The answers to those questions are actually quite simple. Christians believe that there's an epic battle for mankind going on between God and Lucifer which started when God created Men, because God loves Men more than the angels (and Lucifer).

The tree was a test for mankind which Satan made Adam and Eve fail. God had to stick to his rules and the consequences ensued. The tree was neccessary because Men are to have free will. God wants them to love him and that's not possible when there's no alternative.

There's a whole set of rules, that's why he won't kill Satan just now. Christians believe mankind isn't innocent per definition since they were cast out of Eden. All the bad we see in this world is because of that and because Men has free will and Satan keeps pulling strings to keep them away from God. In this sense, Satan tempts People and makes them sin which in turn can't make them come to God.

God's final answer is Jesus who presents Men with a solution to escape Satan's grip and position themself with God.

That's what christians who want to make sense of it all believe anyway ;-)

The only real contradiction I see is that God says he's perfect but still created mankind and wants people to love him.

Re:Trapped on a bus with other geeks building a startup on Thursday February 17, 2011 @09:39PM (#2233989)
Really impressed with how they work on people.

I did a facebook auth and retweet, a couple of minutes later I had two new private followers and a personalized email with "Hey Daniel, I vouched for you to apply for the StartupBus this year. Go here to find out more and definitely apply so my vouching for you isn't wasted."

I know it's all automated but the feeling of being kind of important still stays.

Re:IRC notifications via SSH and libnotify on Wednesday February 09, 2011 @10:40AM (#2197746)
i just have "urxvt.urgentOnBell: true" in my .Xdefaults so it raises the urgent hint of my window manager when someone says my name. never had the urge to get other notifications. cool solution, though.

Re:The LESS CSS Grid on Monday January 24, 2011 @05:10PM (#2136980)
I like the idea, but working with Sass and the 1140px cssgrid.net (cssgrid because it degrades so nicely on mobile phones) I don't see much pain taken away there.
Great idea!

In the admin, when one adds his site and there's an error, all fields clear out. Also i tried putting in a german mobile number in various formats and it always said "Sms number must be at most 10 characters long".

Best of luck, looking forward to where you'll go with this.
