Why regulate this when you can just search out and buy better products? My farmers market has great deserts.
Interesting, how did you get access? Through a prescription?
I'm in the same boat! I look very healthy, I'm young and most of my bloodwork is great but I have many autoimmune symptoms. I started on semaglutide 1 week ago and your comment brings me hope.

I'm in the same boat, have you tried seeing an integrative doctor? They can usually at least help extend the good periods.

People are so desperate for work nowadays I don't think a negative reputation would deter applicants

I agree with how important this is, but for me, the most significant improvement in my sleep has been pushing my dinner very early, ~6 hrs before bed, and having it be my smallest meal of the day. I usually feel quite hungry about an hour before bed but if I get over that hump my resting heart rate is much lower at night and my appetite the next day is much lower. It was validating to see Bryan Johnson sharing the same findings on x.

I highly recommend the book Breath by James Nestor. The only health/pop sci book I'd recommend. Doing breathwork has increased my HRV by ~10ms and lowered my respiratory rate when I sleep. I no longer snore as a result.

What illness if you don't mind me asking?

Just a one sentence description? When all other categories this week got a detailed essay on what they discovered?
Very excited to live in a timeline where autoimmune diseases could be cured. 40 people are already in remission from Lupus in a trial conducted last year.

I was shocked when I saw a 5% failure rate, I would not take those odds.
I disagree that self-driving won't reduce traffic, at least from the perspective a Virginia resident. Commuting into D.C. is in theory very quick, except for when there are crashes. Crashes double the commute time, and there's _always_ a crash. This is pretty much the only source of traffic in my area. I think the primary benefit of self-driving would be lowering the crash rate, and as a side effect traffic.
I think this replaces the need for something like an $800 annual check up. I've asked my doctor for a comprehensive blood panel and they're only willing to give ~30$ worth of blood tests, maybe 2 pages of results. You don't end up learning enough to solve your actual health needs.

I've regained my respect for Joe Biden. Stepping away from power is rare. No one does it. I think this will leave a positive legacy for him.
Cutting out added sugar and supplementing Vitamin D have both significantly improved the quality of my life. I now have the feeling that all the info we need to live a healthy life is out there and that good health is slowly becoming a choice. I'm optimistic that the internet has dampened the power that some of these corporations have had over our nutrition. I'm looking forward to supplementing omega 3s and seeing if that has any effect.
Not at the rate that we consume it. But having beef, chicken and pork once per week? Definitely something that is healthier for our bodies, the planet and the livelihoods of these animals.
I don't think that this is the calculation that is made at the grocery store. Immense profit for the companies that supply the meat and flavor for the purchasers of it. The only people that actively know they are getting fucked is the farmers themselves. In terms of health, I'd rather someone in the west eat steak than potato chips and candy.

As a 20 something this makes me so excited to be alive.
He's probably just as smart as he is greedy. Hopefully we can find a way to put is brain to use in prison. It would be fun to give him the resource he needs to work on hard problems.

This looks like a beautiful product, but why are there so many note taking apps? It seems like way too much energy is being put into this space.
I've struggled with this a lot and haven't found the answer yet, but I will say that having a light dinner, just enough not to make me wake up at night, has improved my sleep a lot. I also stopped running and have switched over to weight training and that has helped as well. I think everyone's body is different and that these comments will only go so far for any given individual.

These problems sound like a result of working with people. Smaller but more capable teams because of AI will need less leaders and less meetings. Everything will become much more efficient. Say goodbye to all the time spent mentoring junior engineers, soon you won't have any

The article came to a romantic end that doesn't satisfy how I feel about the workplace now. I have to admit a dirty truth, that I joined this field because of the pay and job stability, not simply for a love of programming. Because of this I feel distressed for its future. No longer can someone walk into a job slightly under qualified and grow with time. Companies will opt for smaller teams of 10xers that with the companionship of AI can pump out 10x10 more code then the rest of us. Simply put, as a 20 something out of college, I'm going to need to figure out how to make as much money as soon as possible.
