You are right "traffic-aware cruise control speed was set to 75 mph". It was traveling slower due to traffic.
The NTSB report information is public, from the NTSB docket, https://www.ntsb.gov/investigations/Pages/HWY18FH011.aspx, he wasn't traveling at 71 miles per hour.

"At 3 seconds prior to the crash and up to the time of impact with the crash attenuator, the Tesla’s speed increased from 62 to 70.8 mph, with no precrash braking or evasive steering movement detected."

The autopilot accelerated into the barrier.

The device "card" number doesn't change with each purchase but it does have an additional one-time unique crytpogram as well as a dynamic security code that is needed to use that device number.
Boot camp combined with apprenticeship model is way better.

LaunchCode https://www.launchcode.org/ is non-profit, no ISA, no fee to applicant. Offers a free slower paced bootcamp (after work hours) that teach you the basics (two programming languages, git, mvc style web programming), but then you interview and place into a paid apprenticeship, about $15/hour, at an employer who trains you for the Job they want you to do (3-6 months), after which if the apprenticeship works out they hire you on with full entry level tech salary for that area.

The catch is it's only in Saint Louis, South Florida, Kansas City, and Tampa Bay.

Not to say any bootcamp wouldn't work, it's just the key to bootcamps working, is getting hired by a company that invests in training their Junior Devs, which is MUCH more important than the bootcamp itself.

Re:Rust – Reducing support for 32-bit Apple targets on Friday January 03, 2020 @04:57PM (#21950811)
Yeah there was one generation of Mac's that used the Intel Core Duo which 32bit only. They are long not supported. https://everymac.com/mac-answers/snow-leopard-mac-os-x-faq/m...
Re:Software made me loathe my car on Thursday August 29, 2019 @06:10PM (#20834213)
I replaced the radio in my 2016 Toyota Prius V because the software was sooo bad. It was the only model in 2016 that didn't support hands free Siri, They pushed out a final update to etune 2.0 removing features as it moved into maintenance mode, and it crashed and rebooted on hands free calls.

I bought my new radio from crutchfield.com, they did all the compatibility checking for me, suggested all the additional adapters and devices for best compatibility, and for $25 spliced all the wiring harnesses for me. I installed it myself, and have been very happy with the results. I now have wireless carplay, so handsfree works great, I can easily get directions/eta while driving, I can easily listen to podcasts, and as a bonus I get visual information on various car sensors, like which door is ajar, and the PSI of each tire. The most important feature is that it hasn't crashed once.

The result has been better than I expected, there were somethings that weren't quite obvious, such as there not existing OEM adapters for the hands free mic and the gps receiver for my model of toyota. But ultimately, it wasn't hard to run the new mic and the new gps sensor that came with the radio out through the seams of the dash. The handsfree audio quality is way better with the new radio's mic. Everything else integrated with the OEM hardware of the car.

I mean, .netstandard 2.1 won't be supported by .net framework sooo, yeah, they just pretty much obsoleted .net standard.

Python is really simple and easy to read, and macros can make it really hard to switch from code base to code base in ruby. Python is also the #1 intro teaching language in boot camps.

I wish it would work with less or have less like features, taking the first n bytes is okay, but pretty minimal.
You'd need consensus of the miners to do so.
Liberal progressives are totally fine with the child having a choice? That's the point you are making. Also outside of medical reasons, gender reassignment surgery standard of care is to wait until the age of majority. So 18 sounds about right.
The parent post, makes allowances for medical exceptions in their footnote. The point is there's no medical reason to circumcise en-mass or by default. Norway's ban is for ritual circumcision, which is not by a doctor.
You know what would be fast for display updating, ncurses. I wonder why they didn't use that? If only we had an ncurses based text editor.
They at least re-clarified on twitter. But not in the article. https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/839160771674255360
There are a lot of rules in regards to auto-enroll and qualified investments. If you are auto-enrolled, you are going to be in a mix of bonds and stocks appropriate to your age (conservatively), or just a balanced fund. So not really designed to prop the stock market.
I think if you are a woman and they are going to release a naked picture with your name, address and cell phone number, the larger threat is going to be harassment, not just shame.

The article makes a statement of both men and women of college age can do this, but only provides examples of women BTW.

However the article just provides examples of women.
Re:How I'm fixing the 401(k) on Tuesday July 12, 2016 @01:42PM (#12080961)
That's interesting, does that mean you don't receive any compensation from that expense ratio, like sub transfer agent fees?
Re:How I'm fixing the 401(k) on Tuesday July 12, 2016 @01:07PM (#12080683)
Tax consequences related to withdrawing your own money is very much a stark contrast to, whoops this money we promised you doesn't exist.

Whoops, I didn't notice, that 3bps is for the custodian
Re:How I'm fixing the 401(k) on Tuesday July 12, 2016 @11:53AM (#12080065)
Actually guideline is charging the participant fee as 3bps, which is a percentage of assets (but this is spectacularly low). They are charging the employer directly the per participant fee.
Re:How I'm fixing the 401(k) on Tuesday July 12, 2016 @11:47AM (#12080008)
Employer money is going to be a smaller amount of your 401k, if offered, and not always guaranteed, as sometimes subject to vesting so you wont' necessarily get it, but even so that's a stark contrast to pensions and social security, where all of your money is coming from someone else in the future.
Re:How I'm fixing the 401(k) on Tuesday July 12, 2016 @11:08AM (#12079646)
In 401k plans, employee money is employee money. They can make rules so that you can raid your own retirement, but not your employer.

Re:Effective Cryptography in the JVM on Tuesday October 06, 2015 @12:57PM (#10340297)
Keyczar is a wrapper around crypto primitive libraries. The .net Version actually is based on Bouncy Castle even. However the big downside is that Keyczar is not maintained well. Pull requests sit for years, not good for a security related framework.
In the .net Environment Visual Studio and frameworks change fast enough that we are 1.5 year upgrading resharper ultimate already. I don't see this as a big issue. Pricing is appropriate and seems better for individual developers than it was prior.
Re:Adobe confirms stolen passwords were encrypted, not hashed on Tuesday November 05, 2013 @10:09AM (#6675427)
But how do you keep the key from getting stolen, when you couldn't keep the password database from being stolen?
