Re:Parse Server – 100 days later on Friday June 03, 2016 @05:01PM (#11833250)
NodeChef is probably the most advanced offering right now for fully managed Parse Server, just like the popular Parse.com. You may want to include it in your article.

Re:Free, easy, automated HTTPS for Node.js on Tuesday February 02, 2016 @01:22AM (#11017899)
Creating a Letsencrypt certificate manually could be quite a pain so its nice to see most of it automated. We should see many Node.js host that automate the SSL certificate creation and installation process for their customers.

Juts for information purposes, a list of host that supports Letsencrypt is being maintained here: https://github.com/letsencrypt/letsencrypt/wiki/Web-Hosting-...

Re:Ask HN : What side project are you working on? on Wednesday August 19, 2015 @11:32AM (#10086175)
JackDB from what I see does not store your data. They provide a browser based tool to connect to your SQL databases. Amisalabs platform on the other hand is a DBaaS where you can store any kind of data and run any kind of queries.

A high performance database-as-a-service platform that provides NoSQL and SQL access. http://www.amisalabs.com/

Ask HN: PostgreSQL, Lucence and Memcached Integration

In order to build amazing apps for users, developers require multiple ways to store and query data. The cost and complexity of running multiple databases in production can be a distraction for engineers trying to build great apps. We believe that by providing developers with an API that supports multiple persistence and querying modes, we can offer the upsides of polyglot persistence without...

Ask HN: Reduce database operations and development complexity and cost

Developers today are combining multiple databases to meet the performance and reliability requirements of their apps. This increases the cost and complexity of building apps. To solve this problem, we have combined memcached, lucene and PostgreSQL into a fully managed service for developers.Your feedback on the architecture and also interests are welcomed.More details here:...

Re:Migrating from MongoDB to Cassandra on Thursday February 13, 2014 @08:33PM (#7236242)
Mongodb has marketed the database as a general purpose one when in reality it doesn't even come close to one. And the case is the same for all other NoSQL systems. No More general purpose database? The developers at http://www.amisalabs.com are tackling today's database problems.

I don't think this individual cares about points.
RethinkDB and MongoDB, the value is the same.
Re:“MongoDB is dead. Long live Postgresql” on Tuesday November 26, 2013 @12:57PM (#6802911)
MongoDB therefore, is not a general purpose database. I recommend http://www.amisalabs.com
Re:Coming soon. This document-oriented database sounds promising. on Thursday November 21, 2013 @09:39AM (#6774849)
I am part of the team working on this system. Yes, the SQL implementation will support left outer and inner joins. Thanks.

It could mean ycombinator does not have the necessary expertise to help you like they would want.

Re:Google F1 vs. FoundationDB's SQL Layer on Tuesday November 12, 2013 @01:29PM (#6719731)
I don't need to see source code to use a software. Maybe I need to see source code to get some ideas to help me with my own software I'm building that I'm having problems with.
Re:Ask HN: What are you working on and why is it cool? on Saturday October 26, 2013 @11:07AM (#6617607)
Working on a distributed document database. It's cool as it integrates a search and analytics engine, distributed file system and query language like SQL. Will be the first ever and will solve all database problems for the most part.
