"Appears like" is not correct. You could say "looks like," but that's not the title of this article.

Gatsby is great, of course, but for me, "This Side of Paradise" is far better. Underappreciated.

We're going to see a lot of changes like this as the legacy media structure continues to lose its hold on the global attention budget. There will be multiple layers of major consolidation, and dramatically reduced budgets.
Fortunately, the variety of content will increase, and some of it will be higher quality than the average big media piece, as smaller teams create passion projects. Overall budgets will shrink, but advances in technology will (hopefully) allow the production quality to stay relatively high.

Interesting. It's a woodblock print, so I think it would have been created backwards from the final product?

The content creator should decide the frame rate. Higher real fps I can get behind. But I don't want a third tier middle man making up fake frames.

A mouse for Descent? We used to play with both hands on the keyboard- look, slide, and spin on the number pad, move, fire, etc. on the far left side. We're we alone?

Bold claim that payload cost will fall enough to take materials up, make display panels and import them back to Earth.
I think in-space manufacturing will be about two things for a long time: making things for space, like concrete out of regolith, and bringing things down that are rare on Earth, like precious metals.

I went back and watched content that had been jarring, and it's fixed. My wife, for whom all this is instinctual as opposed to technical, is able to watch now without feeling sick. IDK, it's weird.
Re:Switch off bad TV settings

Important to know that Roku has an "adjust frame rate to content native rate" which, insanely, is off by default. It will make up frames on all content by default if it's less than what your TV is capable of. I just got a new LG C3, and this was making us nauseous until I figured it out. I thought it was the TV, but unbelievably it was the Roku.

I have been trying to figure out the origin of egg and dart for years. This is an interesting direction to explore, I guess with some artistic license over centuries I could see that it evolved from the tip points of structural members. Maybe the rings of a wooden pole splitting from drying out.
