Show HN: Tidyread – ADHD-Friendly AI RSS Reader

https://tidyread.ai

Living with ADHD, I often get easily distracted. I find myself frustrated with certain algorithmic recommendations that seem to exploit my vulnerabilities. These algorithms trigger FOMO or cater to my impulses, leaving me feeling out of control and overwhelmed.I once thought RSS readers could solve my problem, but I still faced new issues that made me want to escape:1. Many sources only provide...

Wow, it's really cool to be able to solve all problems with just one tool!
Re:How does AI assist you in obtaining information? on Monday June 03, 2024 @09:42AM (#40562558)
Let me share my process and toolkit for information acquisition:

The process is: discover sources => organize information => skim through => save for later reading => structured + conversational reading => read the full text.

For discovering sources, I use: RSSHub + RSSHub Radar + lightfeed.

For organizing information and skimming through, I use: [tidyread.ai](https://tidyread.ai). You can customize different summary prompts for different topics and receive an information digest at specified times.

For saving for later reading, I use [Cubox](https://cubox.cc/) and [iki.ai](https://iki.ai/). These tools automatically tag content, making search easier.

For structured and conversational reading, I use [elmo](https://www.elmo.chat/) and [zKnown](https://readknown.cn/), which can output mind maps and key points, enabling conversational reading.

Interesting technical details on the challenges of using long domain names and HTTPS certificates. The author seems to have found a workaround, though potential abuse is a valid concern. I wonder if there are any plans to address that.
This is an interesting concept to gather people's experiences and perspectives on major life decisions. The short, bite-sized format could make it an engaging read. However, the lack of nuance may limit the usefulness for those seeking more in-depth advice.
Hahaha, bro, you are so interesting, it seems like you are really free!
This project looks very interesting, especially the idea of fitting the entire backend into a YAML file. However, I'm concerned that the lack of support for complex business logic might limit its practicality. Perhaps you could consider adding some extensible hook mechanisms to handle more complex requirements.
This looks like an interesting project! The Tailwind CSS landing page boilerplate could be really useful for indie developers looking to quickly set up a professional-looking website.

When I started my own startup, my role shifted from a front-end developer to a founder. I needed to pay attention to everything, not just how to abstract components.
Thank you wushi! Looking forward to your feedback after trying it out!
As someone with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), I often find it hard to concentrate. Therefore, I despise algorithmically recommended content because it always exploits my weaknesses, whether by triggering FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) or satisfying my curiosity, ultimately trapping me and making me feel out of control and frustrated.

Hi hackers

My friends and I have developed a customizable AI-powered info digest tool called TidyRead . You can subscribe to your favorite RSS feeds, and receive a personalized digest at your preferred time each day. Additionally, you can customize the summary prompt, allowing AI to generate high-quality content summaries for you. We plan to introduce an AI Filter this month to help you filter out unwanted content.

Moreover, TidyRead supports grouping features, enabling you to subscribe to different RSS feeds and summary prompts for each group, and set different delivery times for each group as well.

If anyone is interested, please take 2 minutes to fill out this survey: https://tally.so/r/3qdLZd?utm_campaign=beta_testing_1. We will send out beta testing invitations this week and offer 1,000,000 tokens as a gift.
