Traquéalo: https://traquealo.com

A citizen service initiative that aims to serve as a platform for monitoring areas of need in Puerto Rico.

Ente is a tremendous proposal. I don't know why I hadn't heard of it before, but I don't think it meets what I'm looking for. But the fact that the software is completely open is impressive.
From all the comments I've been reading, this combination seems solid. I'll definitely be checking it out thoroughly.
Thanks nico for sharing your experience! That's really helpful. The idea of using OpenCV to create a processing pipeline for face detection before passing it to Gemma is brilliant I hadn't thought of that. I'll definitely look into using gemma with ollama.

And for sure, if I get this to a point where it's open-source, I'll post the link here!

Ask HN: What's the 2025 stack for a self-hosted photo library with local AI?

First of all, this is purely a personal learning project for me, aiming to combine three of my passions: photography, software engineering, and my family memories. I have a large collection of family photos and want to build an interactive experience to explore them, ala Google or Apple Photo features. My goal is to create a system with smart search capabilities, and one of the most important...

I've heard a lot about this topic recently but I can't find stories that capture experience using these metrics. Will it be possible to know some of these stories?

Is this an ongoing course or anyone can join and read the material at own pace?
Impressed with your response, thanks for the clarity you have presented through your examples. Once again, thanks a lot.
There is a question I have been asking for quite some time. It is known that Python is the language of choice when practicing ML. But, can similar results be achieved using Powershell? What makes Python superior to Powershell when making models for ML?
Actually this is a great idea. Seems I'll try this approach for 2020 Q1.
Excellent recommendation. I really appreciate all the recommendations proposed. Happy New Year eachro.
I'm impressed by the responses generated in this conversation. My expectation was to get several links and start browsing each one of them. However, many have agreed that the best way is to start with a specific example and start creating a model. Many times I have tried to answer that same question, "which model to apply"? How do I know I'm not re-inventing the wheel?

Re:Ask HN: Good solution for storing notes/excerpts from books? on Tuesday December 31, 2019 @03:27PM (#21924443)
Recently I being using iPhone Notes. One note per book using the camera to take screenshots.
Is that website only for Premium products? I saw only products from Amazon, Apple, Google, etc.
Basically "It's a place for product-loving enthusiasts to share and geek out about the latest mobile apps, websites, hardware projects, and tech creations." the reason that I was thinking on PH first and looking for similar niche.

I would like to use all resources available for marketing but Im concerned that maybe that approach is not healthy at all.

Based on experience? Or is a general tip?
Initially I was thinking in more like a personal project, where to share it, but that list is really like an eye opener for me. The are a whole world to show off.

I learn more of Flexbox by reading https://hackernoon.com/11-things-i-learned-reading-the-flexb...

Great complement to mentioned articles.

I'll continue with JavaScript and C#... they are pretty old (and I'm not joking).
