Hitler makes a comeback...
This post makes no sense. From Illinios State site
http://www.ides.state.il.us/employer/uitax.asp Rates for 2010 are max 7.250% min 0.650% base $12,520 (you don't pay into unemployment insurance for wages over $12520/yr)
The rate you pay is based on past claims not to exceed 7.250%. How does he get $20000?
Doesn't "Hacker News" imply links that are only new? How about an "old" flag that buries the submission and bans the user from adding new submissions for a few days?

There's nothing wrong with getting a referral fee for signing up people. It's when most of your income comes from signing up new people instead of the product you're supposed to be selling that it becomes fishy.
I don't get whitedotbox. Why would someone give up 50% of potential revenue when they can use adsense for search and keep 100% of the payout.

I know people who have used paypal for annual subscriptions with no problem. However, monthly is the most popular option followed by a three month for a small discount.
Come to NYC and I'll buy you beers while you interview me about my startup.
I'm definitely going to apply in the open version especially as I'm looking for a partner/first employee.
I love people who fearlessly operate like this:
"After the Ekofisk find, he had to train new recruits. “I, of course, accepted that I am teaching people so that they can make my existence unnecessary … What choice did I have? I had only one hope, and that is that through my contribution, I would become indispensable, which I did.”"
I took out a small loan with prosper 3 years ago and it's definitely a quick and easy way to get cash if you have good credit.
You might also find that some keywords convert extremely well and those cpc will go up through the roof while others won't be clicked on anymore.

I'm thinking this is a good time to start an AP for blogs where bloggers can write articles to be syndicated among other blog.
Start by changing the anti aging ads on your blog to something your target readership would be interested in.
He didn't say his account was suspended, right? It's just that he screwed up how the conversions work and therefore google stopped showing ads because they weren't converting. Sounds like adwords is working perfectly.
Am I the only who checks my adwords account almost daily when I have a campaign running? A month seems like a long time to wait, plus you'd expect to see regular charges in your bank/credit account.
mass follow your followers' followers = follow spam?
From copyright.gov FAQs
"Do I have to register with your office to be protected?
No. In general, registration is voluntary. Copyright exists from the moment the work is created. You will have to register, however, if you wish to bring a lawsuit for infringement of a U.S. work."
So will eating fewer calories and whole foods and grains.
Tried to review, but "This coupon is no longer valid"
There are plenty of legitimate sites without data feeds where scraping becomes necessary such as some .gov sites.
Must have an age filter. Only show me people OVER 18.

Credits for slides confused me. Why not do it based on the average number of slides needed for a class or presentation?
$99 gets you 1 presentation, $149 gets 2, $399 unlimited for the year.
I'm pretty sure most ISPs prohibit using their service to host a site.
There are plenty of ways to get $100 in your pocket which can get you going for a while.
