Ow Dynamic K8s Sandboxes Can Improve Dora Metrics
Clearly current LLMs are impressive in document/code generation but I’m having a hard time extrapolating that to AGI (assuming that it’s still reliant on current transformers arch).
Ask HN: Will transformer based LLMs hit an improvement ceiling?
A fundamental question I have is whether the current transformer based architectures are powerful enough to allow scaling towards AGI or are there ceilings here that are becoming more evident?Though folks from the leading LLM companies are in the forefront of this, it’s hard to take their word due to an obvious conflict of interest. And it’s unclear if academia has more theoretical knowledge...

Does the current GenAI path lead to AGI?
I struggle with this question. It’s rationally hard to see a token predicting machine (no matter how good) lead to reasoning and understanding of our world. Surely feels like a different approach is needed which may not extrapolate from the current rapid success of Transformer based GenAI approaches.Would love to hear thoughts from the HN community.
Show HN: Signadot (YC W20): Local Testing with Shared Kubernetes Clusters
https://www.signadot.com/blog/bridging-the-gap-local-testing-in-shared-kubernetes-clusters
Hi again HN, we’re Arjun and Anirudh, founders of Signadot (YC W20). Signadot helps teams developing microservices test their changes using lightweight environments called “Sandboxes”. We use a relatively new approach, using traffic labeling (using OpenTelemetry) and request routing (using a Service Mesh) to isolate environments in a shared Kubernetes cluster. Today, we’re launching a new...
The idea here is to bring multi-tenancy to test environments by routing traffic through specific versions of microservices. This way, multiple testing environments can be created at a lower cost, enabling new use cases that were too expensive before. This blog post is about one such use-case around end-to-end testing of a set of PRs realized in a cost effective way. Would love to get your feedback!

Launch HN: Signadot (YC W20) – Lightweight Test Environments for Microservices
Hey everyone, we’re Arjun and Anirudh, founders of Signadot (https://www.signadot.com/). Signadot is a Kubernetes-based solution that enables lightweight environments, called Sandboxes, to test microservices early in the development lifecycle. Before founding Signadot, I managed engineering teams building microservices at different companies. As the number of services and external dependencies...
