This will be possible if done by third parties anyway, it will just be apple, google and maybe meta, a single phone call is enough to cut you off.
At least if the government is doing it, the app doesn't get your id.

The decision to stop hosting such projects on codeberg will change nothing, it will just make it clear that its not a serious competitor.
Its like how the EU kneecaps everything related to energy because of the climate while literally the best case scenarios for the EU lawa is to be 0.1 colder, because the EU isn't the bigger emitter. It just doesn't matter.

Two generations compared to another flagship like an s26 ultra or an oppo.
Re:OnePlus halts operations in USA and Europe
on Monday July 20, 2026 @10:33AM (#48979444)
The moment the phone is no longer the latest one, you start to notice it.
Dropped animations, slow downs in the summer due to heat, poor battery life because it has to use boost, and so on. You don't have to game to notice it.
Re:OnePlus halts operations in USA and Europe
on Thursday July 16, 2026 @09:42AM (#48934456)
Nah the hardware is still crap.
CPU performance that's genuinely like two generations behind being sold as a flagship somehow.

What a shitty management that can't find any solutions other than building weapons for war criminals.

If only FUTO supported combined keyboard languages without duplicates. Why would there be two separate de and en layouts when multilingual typing is enabled.
Re:Microsoft's "Fix" for Windows 11: Flowers After the Beating
on Wednesday March 25, 2026 @05:29PM (#47523529)
In my case the bottleneck isn't cpu performance, it's ram. You can't run serious apps with 16gigs, nor lightroom with a large catalog nor Photoshop with Ai filters.
Also running multiple agents with dev servers is ram intensive.
Re:Microsoft's "Fix" for Windows 11: Flowers After the Beating

Doesn't matter, the end result is the same.
Re:Microsoft's "Fix" for Windows 11: Flowers After the Beating

Gimp is ass, what takes me 5 minutes in Photoshop needs an hour in GIMP. Also I edit photos occasionally in lightroom.
I actually daily Linux, but I still have to dual boot for gaming and Adobe.
Also Linux isn't flawless either, Fedora broke sleep on my full AMD PC since like a month now and no agent could successfully debug it.
Re:Microsoft's "Fix" for Windows 11: Flowers After the Beating
on Tuesday March 24, 2026 @06:34AM (#47500714)
Macs are too expensive for the same performance/ram, and Linux still can't run proper creative software.

If you have copilot already, just use the copilot coding agent it does the same and it's much better.
From my experience Jules is the worst coding agent on the market.
