https://github.com/mdesantis/ssr-deno Embed Deno JS runtime into Ruby to perform SSR / render JS views without spawning additional JS processes. It's even 100% working, and Deno just merged a PR which allows me to continue working on it: https://github.com/denoland/rusty_v8/pull/1970#issuecomment-...

I think this could have great success. I would easily pay for something like this to play with my kid without Nintendo Whatever.
Re:How long until AI automates all cognitive labor? on Thursday May 28, 2026 @11:22AM (#48310270)
Yeah which is very fair but I still see arguable assumptions, the most crucial ones imho are that humans are exceptionally good at deciding what is worth doing and that AI will not get better on taking autonomous decisions.
Re:How long until AI automates all cognitive labor? on Thursday May 28, 2026 @11:08AM (#48310031)
Your point of view is flawed. You should take the ratio of good / bad AI plans activity and compare it with the same ratio by human work.

Guys, does anyone know why the decision to port Bun from Zig to Rust? Is it to move to a less niche language?

Just like for me as an amateur Rust enjoyer then
Just want to say that I faced this very problem the last week, I discovered OpenCode agent and it works great, with DeepSeek and other models. Try it out guys.

Re:Show HN: Rails UI on Thursday January 22, 2026 @08:27AM (#46718977)
300$/year is the cheapest option for a solo dev? seriously?
Re:Open Chaos: A self-evolving open-source project on Saturday January 10, 2026 @03:52PM (#46569822)
I don't think there's a point. You can always submit a point, if it gets voted you will have your point
Re: on Monday July 21, 2025 @04:24PM (#44640007)
Because it's a whole another architectural component for data that is already there, in a tool that is made just for that lacking just of `SELECT full_text_search('kitty pictures');`
Re:My website is ugly because I made it on Thursday May 29, 2025 @02:01PM (#44128542)

I love how polite they are :D
Re:Bun 1.2 Is Released on Thursday January 23, 2025 @07:22AM (#42803278)
Isn't it possible to write it in Zig as a separate extension? Every mature language I'm aware of supports this AFAICT
Re: on Thursday January 23, 2025 @04:41AM (#42802410)
Same for Ruby, and you don't even need to inherit. You include the Enumerable module, implement next, and your instance is suddenly iterable
Re:I'll think twice before using GitHub Actions again on Monday January 20, 2025 @04:29AM (#42766717)
This. I'd go more relaxed on the one-liner requirement, a few lines are fine, but the approach is correct IMHO.

> There are many more parties in the US though - they just don’t get really relevant in the bigger scheme of things.

Interesting! Can you please elaborate? I know nothing about this, I always thought they are forbidden somehow to have parties that are different from Conservatives and Democrats, otherwise I can't explain myself why they are never mentioned

Re:Stay Gold, America on Thursday January 09, 2025 @08:15AM (#42645042)
Am I the only one who thinks that a country which admits only two parties cannot be called a democracy? Not an attack, just a thought starter
