It’s sad that Google ai studio is not available in Canada.
False Dilemma. Direct invasion is not the only option available to a sufficiently advanced, large scale AI attack. Think of how many ways you can mess with elections, opinions, security, etc. of a target nation without being detected.
this is so stupid. Meanwhile Chinese govt is going full steam head with AI. This will come back to bite Americans.

The other day, I applied for vietnamese visa online, and they sent me an approval letter with a list of about 18 traveler names, their birth dates, passport numbers, and nationalities including mine. In the email it says it's a normal practice for them. I definitely didn't know about this when applying and am not happy.
You charge 10 bitcoin as your fee which is around 80,000 usd in today's value!
Once we create the token, do we have full control of the Ethereum wallet from which it is issued?
Ng was born and educated in the west. That's the point I'm making.
Understandable for Chinese nationals to go back. But for someone like Ng, who was born and educated here, it seems very irresponsible.
Scientists like Ng ought to consider the repercussions of their actions when they decide to aid Chinese companies, and by extension, the Chinese govt with cutting edge research. They are basically collaborating with the enemy that stands against pretty much everything that the west granted them (scientists like Ng who were born here and given the opportunities).
Unless we can all unite, and bring China back down to where it belongs.
Agreed. Seems more of a way to advertise her product than to actually share any wisdom. Still a pretty interesting product.
The Japanese concept of Kaizen to beat procrastination is similar: everyday at the same time, commit to working on your goal for 1 minute.
I'm not sure we can blame an entire industry because of one sociopath.
pardon my ignorance, but despite their website, specs, and a list of their projects, I haven't been able to figure out whether this would easily connect to my laptop via USB, and I could deploy some code on it for starters. Do I need any additional pluggable hardware?
as a software dev, what kind of stuff can I do with this?
Unless Microsoft can somehow replace the smartphone with their headset. I personally would much rather use that.
And if you do leave something behind in the future, to what end are you doing it? You are still dead.
please expand upon your definition of "true change".
This is something we desperately need in the western world in order to combat Chinese hacking/spying offensive.
what does that have to do with his observation?
actually dual n back skills are also non-transferable.
you deserve more public shaming than him. Sure he hates javascript and has valid reasons to do so. You, on the other hand are so insecure (probably because you've spent years using this language), that you have to make personal attacks.
is there a guide on how to hire reliable contractors if you're too busy currently to work on your saas product?
I'm in the same boat as you and same age group. But I'm not sure if I can quit my job because it's a very nice job with a nice group of people. And there's no guarantee that if I go my own way, I will succeed. Leaving would be very difficult for me right now. I wish you all the best for your startup journey!
Could you please give me some advice? i'm a full-time developer with 10 years experience. I would like to start my own and have a few ideas to try out. I have savings that could allow me to survive for a year. Would you recommend I quit my day job or just work on it on the side?
yes i suppose they should be more grateful rather than whine about pesky things such as safety control...
ok how will neocities or anybody hosting a node be compensated? How will the artists whose works are being distributed in this manner be compensated?
I don't think we're arguing about the same thing. I never said (and neither did the article) that we shouldn't use systems like these. What I am criticising is the Indian govt. selling off the data and not taking privacy into account.
BTW, this is not just an idealistic point we're arguing for. This is long-term pragmatism. Majority of the people will always go for short-term gains, this is well known.
yep absolutely. But it's way below 100k.
