Business travel might be an exception. Especially for companies who have to manage travel for their employees, and business travelers who want utility features that increase their productivity. Some ideas:
- Incentivize employees who share rides from/to hotel/airport traveling on same dates/destinations
- Show dates for destination that maximizes networking opportunities (in between conferences)
- Show locations with wifi in-between meetings
- Locations with ambiance ideal for business discussions
- Expense capture to identify opportunities for deals (employees love Starbucks during business trips, sign up for corporate deals)

Hi guys, Chris here, Developer Evangelist at Concur. I just got word from the TripIt team that they are aware of the issue and working to get it fixed. Feel free to email me at
[email protected] if you have questions. Thanks!
I tried this but the response says the API is not yet ready?
Just when I'm excited to jump in to start coding on WinJS, HN comes to the rescue...
Does this mean I can program throttling? That sounds cool if it does that.
You can rephrase "Don't let sponsors take over" to "Minimal participation from sponsors"
Interesting! Is this similar to Concur?
If you have something exciting to talk about, public speaking is not such a chore (a joy in fact). The challenge is having content that's easy to make exciting.
If that's not possible for you, then try to get excited of the fact that you're out there to excite the hell out of something mundane. Surprise your audience.
Being in that state of mind alone should knock out the jitters.
One trick that helps me be productive is to expect that I won't finish an entire task in one sitting. I used to have this problem of procrastinating because I want to finish a task in one go. Now it's easier to break up work into chunks and work on them separately, knowing that eventually they'll all be finished (not working up myself too much in expecting I can finish them all).
I also found this book "Your Brain at Work" really helpful, especially in the chapter about what gets us motivated (a bit of anxiety coupled with novelty helps).

Added this to Mashape (left the OAuth part as manual entry). Would you like me to transfer it to you so you can make changes to it in the future?
https://www.mashape.com/community/given-to(Disclosure: I work for Mashape)
Is this OAuth? URL parameter keys? etc
I was checking this out, but I think the API doc is very light on the authentication part. Can you share specifics about the OAuth part?
Where's the login page? I need to get my token
Have you guys considered turning this into an API? I know of a successful wallpaper API that's making decent profit
Can you add a way to cancel the final showdown timer? Like Escape to clear the window?
