I had the opposite reaction. I'm from The Netherlands. It's a tiny country, but we're getting a fourth one apparently.
Re:Claude Code reads AGENTS.md only when telemetry is on on Wednesday September 23, 2026 @08:52PM (#49824785)
just support AGENTS.md and .agents/ natively. why are you building core functionality like this?
If you want to run python tools without installing them:

    uvx --from dns-benchmark-tool dns-benchmark top
uBlock Origin Lite now available for Safari

Food delivery services do exactly the same.

Funny how this announcement comes days after Google learned that it didn't need to sell Chrome

@jgrahamc (former CTO, now board member)

> It stands to reason that Apple wouldn't have developed this feature if they weren't using it. Where? We have no idea. But they must be using it somewhere. The fact that none of us have noticed exactly where suggests that we're interacting with webviews in our daily use of iOS without ever even realising it.

This is what stood out to me. I've never really suspected webviews and can't think of a place now.

They did the calculations for Hetzner themselves and came to $4258.33/mo.
Re:MailCatcher runs a super simple SMTP server on Monday November 18, 2024 @02:49PM (#42176177)
There's no rush to move away from MailCatcher or MailHog, but if you're not using those solutions already I see no reason to use them over the maintained options.
Re:MailCatcher runs a super simple SMTP server on Monday November 18, 2024 @01:48PM (#42175560)
A tool like this is very useful, but this one isn't being maintained anymore. MailHog isn't either.

MailPit, MailCrab and smtp4dev are modern alternatives.

Re:Dashboard and UIs for Node-Red on Thursday June 27, 2024 @09:24AM (#40810230)
> The original Node-RED Dashboard is based on Angular v1, which is no longer maintained. Although small patches have been and will continue to be applied on a "best can do" basis, there will be no major feature upgrades. The lack of ongoing maintenance and updates has the potential to lead to underlying security breakages, a risk we are not comfortable taking. We have recognized the need to innovate and adapt, which is why we are creating a completely new project to replace the existing Node-RED Dashboard.

That would be against net neutrality laws here in The Netherlands, but we also get low bitrates when screensharing.

But Google Meet is pretty good otherwise. Zoom is good too. All others I have used have been quite annoying to use.

Re:Running PHP fast at the edge with WebAssembly on Thursday May 23, 2024 @03:44PM (#40459044)
opcache doessn't cache user data. it's for caching bytecode in memory as long as the php script/server is running

i'd like to see a comparison against a firecracker vm and a docker container

Re:How to make a better default Firefox UI on Monday February 19, 2024 @07:29AM (#39429031)
It takes 2 minutes and the instructions are very clear. Should not be a problem.

This is the first time I've heard of Lepton. Now I've installed it I don't think I will go back. Thanks!

I don't care about the tabs being buttons though. Mainly the huge amount of space the new design uses. And the lack of icons.

How did you get the prompt?
Re:Gemini Ultra Released on Thursday February 08, 2024 @06:47AM (#39300836)
On the https://one.google.com/about/plans page they named the subscription AI Premium. It's the same as Premium, but you get access to Gemini Advanced too. However I'm not sure where you can use it at the moment. Maybe just Bard?
Re:Zed, a collaborative code editor, is now open source on Wednesday January 24, 2024 @01:43PM (#39121075)
All JetBrains IDEs work on Linux and all electron apps of course. Lapce seems like Zed and is already available on Linux. So is Sublime Text.

There's a whole list here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/List_of_applications/Docume...

I've tried it before on AirPods Max and wasnt' that impressed. But just yesterday I've tried it on a very nice home cinema. Some songs seem basically auto-generated, but some songs have a very cool surround mix. It's a bit of a gamble right now what you'll get. Either is a fun experience though.

So I think the technology is quite cool and I will use it again. It won't be very often though, because all my regular listening areas/devices are stereo.
