I just use llama cpp , it's light weight, I think you create your own integrations, with a larger model so llama cpp can interract with scripts that would browse the web, control your computer etc... propably will have to download some pip packages

They reference this one in the article https://peps.python.org/pep-0836/
Thank you so much, that's helpful. Do you offer any benchmarks comparing with others?
Interesting, thanks for sharing this. I have some questions? I have a Macbook M5 with 16GB unified memory. What Model would you suggest I use with this. I want something that would replace dot or grokbot , do posting, some marketing work, and email handling. Not coding. What would you suggest?
Re:SIMD-accelerated computer vision on a $2 microcontroller on Tuesday October 27, 2026 @09:18AM (#50258780)
This sounds interesting, Is there a way to port opencv code to this? I know there is a way to write opencv code to run on fpga but it would be nice if you can do it on low powered microcontrollers. Or did you write the algorithm from scratch by hand?
Computer science turned bioinformatitian and AI engineer here. I have a BSc in Computer science since 2002 in 2013 I decided to start a Master in Bioinformatics and Computational biology and in 2018 did a PhD. Since my background is in CompSci, first before I started the master I just bought some popular science books about genetics, and biology the kind of books you see in bookstores like Barnes & Nobles, nothing too specialized. Then watched some videos about some things like Biochemistry, Genetics, DNA replication etc... then what really made a difference is taking a Mollecular Biology course, the one I took prepared me with all the pre-requisites and the book I used in the course are these : Essencial cell biology https://wwnorton.com/books/9781324033356

I feel that this book is clearly written and will give you all prerequisites to continue in a biotech, bioinformatics, computational biology or even biology graduate program if you come from a different discipline.

Good luck!

Fascinating hardware history! Thanks for sharing!
Re:Tov: A programming language for coding agents on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @12:11PM (#50089985)
I think agents could just skip to assembly or binary. I remember the story when agents invented their own language to communicate faster.
Re:AI is mass decompiling games. That's both awesome and scary on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @12:07PM (#50089887)
Mostly awesome, glad to see how technology is progressing so fast!
This is why I'm very optimistic about the future!

Been working on Ezducate.ai a special education ai powered platform

Cool
Re:AI-Generated Images Discourage Me from Reading Your Blog on Tuesday August 04, 2026 @03:26PM (#49173680)
You are missing the point, let's take "2001: A Space Odyssey" the novel book cover was not made by the writer Arthur C Clark. But by artist Robert McCall. Well not everyone can afford to hire an artist. You can be creative in your field, and still hire a human or use an AI to do art instead. What's the difference!

So people should stop expressing themselves, however they see fit so you can read their blog? Ok!

Cool however no idea how to play this!

Is this available for the average PhD student?

Show HN: Proxy Block-CAGE, a new sparse block attention

https://github.com/iqbal1980/ai_research_assistant_rnd_projects/blob/main/proxy_block_cage_attention_introduction.md

Hi, I'm a PhD student in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology with a software engineering background,I'm trying to pivot toward AI/ML research. I'm familiar with the practical side of AI as in using, Scikit learn, R, Pytorch, ONNX Runtime etc...I was thinking if LLMs could be used as a research assistant to create better AIML algorithms. So I asked ChatGPT to help find better way to solved one...
