>isn't to adjudicate on whether Anthropic is a good or bad bet for investors
Gensler spent his entire time at the SEC doing exactly that type of adjudication.
"have anything to do with the company anymore", lmao what crucial decisions would even be in play here that Richard Teng wouldn't obviously make?

Pro tip always get the silver macbooks because they wear out considerably better. On the black ones the paint near the charger ends up looking terrible and any dents/nicks/scratches look bad.
"If we fail to adequately protect our intellectual property rights, our competitive position may be impaired, and we may lose valuable assets, generate reduced revenue, and incur costly litigation to protect our rights, which may adversely affect our business, financial condition, and results of operations."
We scraped the entire internet but our business might not be viable if we get scraped too.
"We incorporate open-source software in our models, platform, and applications, which may subject us to litigation or other requirements, each of which may adversely affect our business, financial condition, and results of operations."
We violated GPL.
"We may be subject to claims that we or our employees have misappropriated the intellectual property of other companies, particularly as we hire employees from other AI and technology companies."
We sniped employees from other labs that brought over IP.
The whole risk section is insane frankly.
It could be an interesting cybersecurity technique to hide obvious crypto private keys all over.
If it gets swept you are breached.
Mark Karpelès? Wow that's a name I haven't thought about since 2014.
Between this and the Ledger implants I wonder if AI companies will have a supply chain risk in the future where their models get exfiltrated over 5G.
Good time to start a company that builds giant Faraday cages over data centers.
The guy that made the 'bunker mode' tweet is an Ethereum guy, the chain that they reorganized when the wrong people lost money in the DAO hack.
What good are strong cryptography primitives for cryptocurrency if your "CEO" can successfully make calls to reorganize the chain?
Apple should really do a 25th anniversary edition iPod with a scroll wheel, modernized battery, and modernized storage.
Do some nice nostalgia marketing for the zoomers and people that had one back in the day and it would sell like hotcakes.
Did your bot malfunction and post in the wrong thread? "The current admin", this is a thread about the UK lmao.
Whatever the last one you had to install with a CD/DVD was.
I would also like the reference image from the sensor instead of the blown out HDR monstrosity Apple removed the ability to turn off after the iPhone 12.
Are any AI companies using residential proxies to scrape?
Aaron Swartz was facing up to 35 years for wire fraud and hacking for swiping some JSTOR documents, and the DOJ has done nothing against the AI companies and their IP violating antics.
26GB for an update is pretty steep considering their base macs are still on 256GB SSDs.
Watch the "pause" be so they can do an amended s1 where they project less expenses for training making the business more viable, then on a future big Chinese release they reverse course completely and get the US taxpayer to pump their bags on the IPO calling it a second Manhattan Project. They'll call this masterstroke "The Sloppenheimer".
When the Chinese model drops that tops a paused Anthropic and OpenAI in all benchmarks how low will their valuations go?
The AI posts are better than the reddit tier politics slop
The best way to stifle AI growth would be to deprive the labs of capital, and yet these AI safetyists never seem to seriously attack the money side.
It gives away the game entirely, they want regulatory capture and the politicians boosting it want millions in donations from the IPOs, there's big money in this type of AI grifting.
The SEC should heed the AI labs own warnings and forbid any AI lab doing doom marketing from doing an IPO, for safety of course.
Doesn't OpenAI have an active court order forcing them to log everything? Can they even legally offer private conversations?
Could they say they don't retain, but do something "transformative" like use their own AI to summarize and paraphrase user sessions?
It seems like it would be a trivial statistical exercise to find all the nitter instance X accounts and just ban them, it's actually embarrassing they got lawyers involved instead of just doing that if they didn't want nitter to function.
The combination of the already unjailable corporate executive decision making of the US + now "the spooky computer AI did it" is going to break at some point. I expect shortly some hedge fund is going to do some ridiculous spoof bid market manipulation and get off scot-free by just claiming their super crazy AI did it and it was an accident.
If you aren't reading comics I wouldn't recommend color e-readers yet. The screens are dimmer and have a noticeable filter over them.
old reddit and nitter finished in the span of a month? What an incredible month to be undistracted.
I'm nostalgic for the new JS framework every day era. Say what you will about that era but people were writing the code by hand, so looking back it all feels "hand-crafted" and quaint. You had to copy paste that express app from a medium.com article instead of prompting an LLM to scaffold a whole project in one second.
I was just comparing this to an rtx6000 96gb build and when the f*ck did nvidia double the price?
If you want to comfortably afford this gen you had to trade options on memory stocks...
