Something about it though, feels good to meet folks that have read it.

Half way through Dungeon Crawler Carl book 8, really got hooked on the whole universe haha.
Re:Price drop notice from Google re. One/AI service on Monday June 15, 2026 @04:16PM (#48546460)
This was a nice unexpected surprise to get via email today... it's a nifty plan.
Very cool, love it!

If you build it, they will come.
Re:Invisalign Became the Biggest User of 3D Printers on Saturday March 21, 2026 @03:02PM (#47470147)
There are folks working on solutions for when teeth do not align themselves.
Entry level Dell servers that used to cost 1,700 US are now going for 17,000!!! I'm talking absolute basics with 16GB of memory etc. Wild times.
Hijacks the back button :/
Re:Charlie Kirk shot at event in Utah on Wednesday September 10, 2025 @06:00PM (#45204559)
Yikes, that's a rough outlook. Not disagreeing with it, just poking at it a bit from a distance, and hoping that you experience a change in direction after a couple days.

Exactly my thought upon seeing this :)
Re:My website is one binary (2022) on Friday July 25, 2025 @11:30AM (#44684285)
it is likely an informal, stylistic choice, nbd honestly
Yikes. Copy of TL;DR from the Reddit discussion:

Every single bit of data (that you wanted to back up using Active Backup for Microsoft 365) in your Microsoft 365 tenant, could have also been accessed by a malicious actor. The exact period for which this flaw existed for is unknown, but it was fixed by Synology after modzero disclosed it to them. Inspecting the setup process once, of any Synology Active Backup for Microsoft 365 install - gives you the master key to all M365 tenants that had authorised the Active Backup for Microsoft 365 enterprise app.

Finally gave Claude a go after trying OpenAI a while and feeling pretty _meh_ about the coding ability... Wow, it's a whole other level or two ahead, at least for my daily flavor which is PowerShell. No way a double-digit amount of jobs aren't at stake. This stuff feels like it is really starting to take off. Incredible time to be in tech, but you gotta be clever and work hard every day to stay on the ride. Many folks got comfortable and/or lazy. AI may be a kick in the pants. It is for me anyway.

He's never had alcohol due to a family with addiction problems, that's my understanding anyway. I kinda see your point though.
Holy smokes that's a tough to view site for mobile folks.
Re:400 reasons to not use Microsoft Azure on Friday February 28, 2025 @10:34PM (#43215533)
I know we're talking about AWS and Azure here, but had to add that fwiw, the M365 admin interface(s) are so bad it practically feels like a prank. In other words, it's as though someone is purposely making them as chaotic as possible to what end I can't even guess.
Mind over matter. Don't forget to meditate, and try to keep the loop running in the background too.
Re:Bringing SerenityOS to real hardware, one driver at a time on Wednesday January 08, 2025 @01:37PM (#42637087)
Very curious what that would represent, to a layman.
Re:Stimulation Clicker on Monday January 06, 2025 @10:25PM (#42618833)
Very fun, but also, it froze a couple times when I was doing well :(
Re:Brave Care Has Closed on Sunday December 29, 2024 @08:49PM (#42545590)
2040's? It is happening, now.
I had a similar experience last week. Searched and searched for a blurb from Middlemarch, without luck. o1 returned exactly what I was hoping for in one fell swoop.
Those are some steeeep drops. I'm curious how they settled upon such numbers.
Re:I Don't Have Spotify on Monday November 11, 2024 @10:10PM (#42112440)
I don't follow. Is he anti music or something? Afaik he's on Apple, Amazon, and Youtube as well. Do you not use anything related to him? I'm honestly curious for some reason.
Re:Former President Trump is projected to win the presidency on Wednesday November 06, 2024 @11:37AM (#42064877)
There are beautiful peaceful and kind neighborhoods in every state. I hope you are in one of them. Take a nice walk and have some tea or coffee at a local cafe. It's the local atmosphere and government that matter most.
Re:Have McKinsey and its consulting rivals got too big? on Saturday October 19, 2024 @01:26PM (#41889137)
Interesting, I never considered that thought before.
Re:A terrible way to jump into colocating your own stuff on Monday September 23, 2024 @05:37PM (#41630866)
Agreed. It blows my mind a bit that there is a generation of folks that only know Cloud vs Colo. Colo is a walk in the park compared to cloud, assuming you've done basic PC building and networking. Heck, Cloud can be a walk in the park too for most use cases. If you don't have time to learn it yourself over a month or two, there should be folks available to consult. A lot can be brainstormed in an hour.
This has very little to meaningfully do with anything, but I know someone that had long covid, and it ruined their life and career etc. because of barely being able to function more than a few "good" hours a day. They got covid again about two year later, was moderately sick for a week, and then completely healed, 100% back to normal. Absolutely blew my mind.
