This is where they filmed Neo vs Smith
My team/org wasn't even in that country, I was just working remotely from it.
I was valued. Then the company laid off the whole country and stopped hiring in that country.
In the end it's just luck.
Some nerve flossing exercise blocks now even contain some Tai Chi movements.
They get unique characteristics, like all the tomatoes are looking identical and have long shelf life which is important for customers because they "eat with their eyes". They also taste like shit but who cares, right?
You read the comment wrong.
What he meant wasnt age.
"or just plain old [saying] 'you arent doing great job'"
Which doesn't work even in Chrome.
I think this kind of thing comes only with experience. Large amounts of experience.
There are simply too many factors to consider. The team, the client, the project.
I usually follow this rule: take the worst case scenario estimate and then double it :)
Well, it can be you simply aren't accustomed to working in very bureaucratic and slow environments. You either go with the flow or switch jobs.
I am toxic myself and I also have problems with it. So I try to constantly "monitor" what I am saying and how I am feeling. Sometimes it just helps to say to yourself "stop, don't overreact" and to force yourself to calm down. Sometimes we make situation out of no situation.
My personal list:
Interesting, challenging projects
Certain amount of freedom when choosing tools/frameworks
Acknowledgment from management
Treat me well
I thought this article would be about people streaming on twitch and receiving donates.
Because let's be honest, it wasn't really gaming that paid off in this case, but programming and hard work.
I think what author meant here is order of those compiled files. For example, when 'media_queries.css' comes before 'main.css', those media queries will be most likely overwritten.
I am using React and all the trendy tooling for my personal projects, even if it's just a simple website. Why? Because that's an opportunity for me to learn new stuff.
I can't use React at work, but I don't want to stagnate either. That's why I'll always be using the most ridiculous trendy technologies for side projects.
I do think that's how most of frontend developers live nowadays.
Well, JavaScript has already gotten the first place. It doesn't get any 'steeper' than that.
I had one 7 years ago, never looked back.
From the article I understood they guy lived 6 years in Himalayas without any money?

Frontend department at our company is growing fast, people are working in small teams, but our CSS/HTML is still a mess. I decided to organize a small workshop and present some basic rules: html5 elements, no greedy selectors, no ids, extensibility, flexibility and so on.The question is how to enforce those rules without getting rejection and hate from other developers?
It's not "alternative to whatsapp", it's "alternative app monetization strategy".

React has all these features already.
Because its round and made of wood? ;)
"It runs on Mozilla's Firefox OS platform and lets you make calls, ask for directions and browse the web. So when you're heading out to grab dinner with friends, you can leave your smartphone at home and avoid the temptations of Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat."
I don't understand these two sentences at all. If you can browse the web, how does it help "avoid the temptation"?
It's a nice looking round thingy, but "anti-smartphone"?..
So it's like PouchDB, but doesn't sync?
Well, React was designed to be isomorphic. I found it pretty simple.
