It would be great to have a site that compiled recruiting scams that companies do.

I have been taken by a couple and really would love to have a site that said, "if you are thinking about working for CompanyX, be sure to look out for the following tactics: Z,Y,Z"

Re:Why and how to avoid hamburger menus on Tuesday June 03, 2014 @01:18PM (#7841476)
The interesting thing about it though is how fast it's being adopted. Right now it might have some poor performance in some instances but I think eventually it will be so prevalent that the hamburger icon will turn into a convention people understand.
Re:New DuckDuckGo design on Tuesday May 20, 2014 @03:14PM (#7774578)
doh! I kept trying to scroll down the page to see the rest of the image that looks like 1/3rd is cut off
Re:The next version of DuckDuckGo on Tuesday May 06, 2014 @11:51AM (#7705187)
I really like the new visual design, slick work!

One issue I have is with the infinite scrolling of the results. When at the bottom of the page I would like to know how many more results there are so I am not flying blind until I randomly get to the end of the results. Not aware of any formal studies to support this just opinion :)

Re:Show HN: A socially curated startup job board on Tuesday April 29, 2014 @10:42AM (#7667274)
i dig this.
This is actually pretty fascinating that you posted this here. Really highlights how companies can't hide from a bad customer experience anywhere. People are going to find out if your treating your customers badly.

I wonder if this thread is going to get deleted soon?

Re:I Am An Object Of Internet Ridicule, Ask Me Anything on Thursday September 19, 2013 @10:52PM (#6415720)

Re:Discovering Sketch on Tuesday July 09, 2013 @10:28AM (#6012817)
in fireworks it's called "Common Library" but it's really useful for that kind of stuff. It also has "styles" functionality that flow through to all of the pages for element styles.

When someone blocks ad's what really happens?

If I have an ad blocker, does the website selling as space or the advertiser know? Page views are usually what is used to charge for ads so if I visit the page and the ad is blocked via my browser, it seems to me that people are still paying for ad's that do not reach the user.Am I missing something?
