Re:Boston Cab Dispatch queues up to sue Uber on Tuesday March 12, 2013 @07:25AM (#5361175)
When the established industry starts suing you, you know that they're starting to become scared of your disruption.
I don't understand why you've linked to your companys' landing page, which doesn't have any association to your title.
The contentless link and the spammy other comments here make me think this is someone gaming the system to get free advertising.

justified alignment has a time and a place (newspapers), but for the most part I agree, the differing line lengths make keeping your place far easier.

I don't know about your friend, but I'm happily using the latest version of Sparrow with no issues whatsoever, maybe he has some other unrelated problems...

Because it has near-zero barrier to entry. That doesn't speak highly of PHP as a language, just on how its deployment strategy is designed.
Of couse that's an over-simplification, de-normalisation certainly fits in after many other forms of optimisation.
I think 3NF is a good starting point, then as I said in another comment, you start profiling to find where expensive queries are coming into play and hurting your performance, then denormalize those issues away.
The 3A/3B course has very little regard for modern best practises, just what was relevant 15 years ago when the course was written.
By 3NF most database schemas are good enough(tm), going further usually results in minor changes for large amounts of work.
That's a process called de-normalisation, covered here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denormalisation You should only consider doing that after thorough profiling showing your joins are causing the performance loss.
Re:Kickstarter: Make a Better CoffeeScript Compiler on Saturday April 14, 2012 @10:02AM (#3840854)
I don't really see the benefits of this over the existing compiler. The changes sounds like they could be merged into the existing compiler as command line arguments with relative ease.

I'm not sure if I can see the correlation between the story being told and the fact that the author is female. It seems to be briefly mentioned in the first and last paragraphs.
all 6 drupal users can black their sites out now!

I read this as "Github gives out CLI edition"
Re:Kodak Teeters on the Brink on Thursday January 05, 2012 @02:08AM (#3427775)
As long as Ektar and Portra keep rolling onto store shelves I'll be happy.
