Given how much time you've wasted with this, my feeling is that overall you still lost. They owe you money for the time spent as well. Good on you for publishing this, but you should have mentioned their company name in the title, so that hopefully it show up in search engine results and this alerts others to not collaborate with them.

This has also been happening constantly in the past few years with something called Ripple, their token being $XRP. Anyone with more than 5 brain cells can tell that they're scammers with no product market fit, yet their marketing attracts the dumb opportunists.
I see nice things like this and I wonder if they could’ve spent that money on actually making better service and proving more coverage in hard to reach areas.

From another source:

> Effective control and treatment of rabies in India is hindered by a form of mass hysteria known as puppy pregnancy syndrome (PPS). Dog bite victims with PPS, male as well as female, become convinced that puppies are growing inside them, and often seek help from faith healers rather than medical services. An estimated 20,000 people die every year from rabies in India, more than a third of the global total.

I'm pretty sure that for most of these posts, this is how it goes for HN users:

- no idea who this guy is, let's spend 5-10 minutes of my life to find out

- hmm yeah, he did good

- upvote

But maybe we keep doing this for post after post, wasting time and learning stuff that won't help us achieves our actual objectives.

It doesn't. I see here https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/monero

Replace "Bitcoin" with "Ethereum" in everything that @clemensley said, and it will make even more sense.
