The optimistic view where everyone is poor, on UBI, and forced to gamble as an opportunity to get ahead since they can't get jobs anymore.

All of these suck
slippery slope is if you say 'if a therefore d' not 'a leads to b leads to c leads to d'
So glad this man is in charge of making The AI Surveillance State

Re:A Quote from Belligerentbarbies on Wednesday November 05, 2025 @08:26AM (#45822585)
The post is clearly hyperbole obviously the sole issue being brought up isn't 'brenda losing her job may be bad for the company' you're being facetious.
Re:Tiny sugar spoons are popping up on NYC fast-food menus on Wednesday October 22, 2025 @10:20AM (#45669564)
Reminds me of that one post that goes "Whenever I see those comparisons of sugar between donuts and soda it just seems to me that donuts are healthier than I thought"
but how else can they conspicuously spray poisonous chemicals over cities? /s
Re:How the AI Bubble Will Pop on Thursday October 02, 2025 @07:45AM (#45448402)
A handful of the largest companies cyclically investing and buying from each other is propping up the entire economy. Also stuff like Deepseek and other open source models exist. Unless AGI comes from LLMs (it absolutely won't) then its foolish to think there wont be a bubble
Re:Cursor 1.7 on Wednesday October 01, 2025 @10:36AM (#45438225)
lowkey typing is so cumbersome though they should make an ai model that can read my thoughts and generate a prompt from them so i don't have to anymore
Re:iPhone Air on Tuesday September 09, 2025 @04:18PM (#45188274)

Re:“No tax on tips” is an industry plant on Friday August 01, 2025 @05:55AM (#44754765)
In a Louis Rossmann video (i think it was the one on food delivery guys on e-bikes) he mentions never tipping in app but leaving a note that says he will give a cash tip if the driver brings the food straight to his door. That seems like a decent compromise as it doesn't let the app take a cut from the tip and makes so the driver actually goes the extra mile to 'deserve' the tip.

To be honest most of the appeal to me of this type of thing is the fact that it gets incoherent and morph-y and rotating 360 degrees can completely change the scenery. It's a trippy dreamlike experience whereas this kind of felt like a worse version of existing stuff.

This article has all the tells of being AI generated with random bolding and constant emdashes.

"@gork explain this tweet"
wouldnt the fastest possible grant be no requirement for grant at all?
I asked it to break down eating a pie, this is what I got:

Choose a pie

Gather necessary utensils (fork, plate, napkin)

Place the pie on the plate

Cut a slice of the pie

Pick up the slice with the fork

Bring the slice to your mouth

Take a bite of the pie

Chew and savor the flavor

Repeat until finished

Dispose of any leftovers responsibly

Clean up the utensils and plate

Maybe an absurd example but I feel like something like this makes it seem even more intimidating to do basic tasks

Of course its written in rust
Re:Why is it so hard to find a job now? Enter Ghost Jobs on Thursday November 14, 2024 @10:05AM (#42136822)
I wonder when the job market is going to implode via AI applicants applying for fake jobs in an ouroboros of slop
Re:Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Joyful Life on Friday October 25, 2024 @04:39PM (#41949468)
This article kind of feels like a "place, Japan" type of article not going to lie. "There is no other word like this in any other language." Passion? Purpose?
Re:X still struggles to grow subscription revenue on Tuesday October 15, 2024 @06:53PM (#41853940)
Twitter had already been crap long before Elon got to it but after he purchased it it became significantly worse. The blue checkmark system of replies being boosted to the top leads for any reasonably popular tweet to be full of slop you have to scroll through to see genuine replies.

Nowadays a majority of twitter feels like a left wing echochamber and right wing echochamber fighting for attention on the home feed among repost bot accounts

I've come across that channel while looking for answers to programming problems and it's so annoying. He just rips stackoverflow questions/answers and puts a little intro at the beginning
