Happy to answer anything about the process, stack, or migration.

TLDR on tips:

- Have good documentation and details on what you want built

- Focus each session on one task/area

- Ask Claude to write a plan and tests before building features

- Work with Claude like you would a junior engineer

- If it fails to fix a bug twice in the same session, stop and start a new session

- CLAUDE.md is your BFF

Re:Ask HN: Can anyone suggest me a SaaS product idea? on Wednesday April 15, 2026 @11:40AM (#47780663)
hmm... I think these days the problem is not being able to build on an idea or coming up with ideas. LLMs are great at both.

What are you facing? What are you dealing with? What are your problems? What communities do you have around you? What communities are you involved in?

Have you thought about those sorts of questions to help you decide what to dedicate your time to?

Re:Why most AI projects feel useless on Tuesday April 14, 2026 @09:51PM (#47773746)
Honestly, it's because the barrier to entry is getting lower and lower. This is the same as what happened to newsletters back in the day and blogs before that. Used to be hard to get in so quality was higher but then it got so easy, that anyone could do it and the market got flooded with crap. Everyone is jumping on building with AI and launching new tools they built over the weekend, most likely they will get abandoned within a couple of months if not weeks.
The yield is great on these: 5.16%. Not including tax savings if you compare to a traditional high yield savings account.

note: I work at Arta.

Re:Would you invest in this company? on Thursday May 04, 2023 @12:10PM (#35817724)
Yeah, very fair point in that the company needs to exist and be real. I wish I had ChatGPT when I was raising for my startup a few years ago. But, the example was a complete hypothetical and it did a pretty good job, won't you say?

Would you invest in this company?

I wanted to see how good of a pitch deck I can create with ChatGPT in less than 45 mins for a startup idea I used ChatGPT to come up with.Idea: Contract Hive, AI-powered startup that helps company manage their contracts better.PDF: https://images.gpthacks.com/ContractHiveDeck-GPTHacks.pdfGIF: https://images.gpthacks.com/Contract%20Hive.gifWhat do you think of the deck? Would you invest in this...

Re:Should your company block ChatGPT? on Tuesday April 25, 2023 @09:42AM (#35700332)
Hey folks, I used to be a CTO for two separate fintechs and even was the founder of another that I recently sold.

People keep asking me if their companies should block ChatGPT, so I decided to write an article about it.

Check it out and let me know what you think – I'm curious about your experiences and opinions on this topic!

Keynote, it works great
I have yet to find a really great community of investors. I've joined a few Facebook Groups that are decent but nothing great yet.

ZeroHedge is impossible to read through, there are ads everywhere.

Congrats again, saw you on PH first. I plan on using your service once we launch in a few weeks because Pingdom doesn't need more users. Would rather help someone starting out (as long as you are monitoring your own site ha!)
This is really cool, I love little tools like this that can help you with a quick task when needed. One thing that would make this even better is being able to click on an element in the SVG and choose a color from there.
Feels like if this is going to be used as a stock screener, the search should start at the company level not a keyword. Or show a list of recent patents by Russell 3000 companies that don't match the previous x number of patents filed by that same company.
Re:Show HN: Screpy reached 500 users in a day on Sunday August 09, 2020 @06:02PM (#24103320)
Congrats on your launch. Very cool landing page. Curious on how you got people from Google, Lyft, Dropbox and Amazon to try your tool? Or are these all placeholders?

One thing you might want to consider, there are tons of tools like this one out there and usually you can enter your URL and see the results then sign up. It felt like an off workflow having to sign up to see a sampling of the analysis for my site.

Love it! We all have our own, why not centralize and share!
Very cool! Does it work with MS SQL in our own DC?

Ask HN: What is your current side project?

Hi all HN,1) What is your current side project?2) How did you get the idea?3) What do you want to achieve with your current project? (Learn something new, make money, just for fun?)4) What phase of the project are you on? (ideation, planning, building, launches, etc.)I think it will be very inspirational and motivational for others if you share your experience. Thanks

Re:Why you're having vivid dreams during the pandemic on Tuesday August 04, 2020 @07:47PM (#24055752)
interestingly enough, I never used to remember my dreams until recently
cool idea! I kept trying to click on one of the tags hoping it will filter the list on articles with that tag only.
How many people own autositer.com?

Nice question. This is bound to get you good Karma on HN :) Anyways:

I just closed on a house and the process was really painful. So I decided to put a list of resources together in the hopes that they will have an easier time on what should be a joyful experience.

Re:Ask HN: How to get stock as a contractor or consultant? on Tuesday November 03, 2015 @02:52PM (#10502081)
You may be able to negotiate to be paid in stock versus $$$. Very early stage startups that have not raised a round of funding might go for that deal.

I am working on a startup that is currently bootstrap and am very open to getting work done for shares vs salaries.

Re:Ask HN: Sunrise Calender users, what app will you switch to? on Tuesday November 03, 2015 @02:47PM (#10502038)
I am back to the standard iOS Calendar. Don't really love it. I hear Outlook is actually pretty good.
Wow, sorry to hear that. Interesting perspective tho, I changed the colors but not sure you mean to say: #00000f that is on the black side.
Good point, fixed :) (and thank you)
thanks! missed this, changed to blue.
I recently bought a house in California and had to endure a pretty un-organized, stressful, unclear and unknown 30 day journey to get there. I kept asking all of the involved parties for a clear roadmap, checklist, etc but none seem to have a good one that covered the process end to end so I figure I would put one together now that I am done with the process.

I plan on updating and adding more to this soon but am looking for early feedback on the set up of the site, navigation, clarity, etc.

Any early feedback would be great!

THANKS! Hussein
