You would think so, and probably starting the productivity suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.). If Mariner could seamlessly integrate with those, then times are about to get real interesting (if they aren't already!)

Hi there! I'm a full-stack JS engineer, looking for contract/FT work at the beginning of September. Right now I lead up a team of 3 engineers and am looking for a new tech lead role with more responsibility and a proven product.
If you have a requirement for a strong engineer with good people skills and who enjoys mentoring and leading by example, then let me know!
Cool concept but when you see the maze being generated you get to see the path drawn between start and finish right in front of you? So it's less of a maze and more of a memory exercise to me

Especially ones that are maybe a bit left of field and that the regular person might not necessarily know about.
Awesome, signed up. Travelling through SF in mid-Nov, would love to try it out!

Fantastic news, we are developing our startup's apps on the Ionic framework and it's been great so far. Every now and then I get around to putting some Ionic specific tips up on Coderwall if anyone is interested.
Here's a horizontal slider directive I implemented the other day. Am very keen to see what new animations come out of Drifty soon :)

I don't understand how you connected Javascript with that particular start-up mentality. "Solving problems and helping people" as a development approach is platform agnostic; if you wanted to do that through the web then hey, you would probably use Javascript to accomplish that.
Thanks for the tips! Just got a spare bed in Chez JJ :)
Just looked up Hacker Dojo, I think I will definitely visit there, they have a ton of events going on.

I left my job in investment banking to start doing some freelance development and maybe start something up. As part of leaving I get to go to our USA office (in Detroit. I live and work in Sydney) and while I'm there I really want to visit Silicon Valley, most likely on the Oct 26th weekend. As something that I read so much about, how can I get the most out of a weekend there? I'm most...
Maybe I'm missing something here, but if you are connecting to Coder then you can't access the internet? I'd imagine that having the learning material side by side (from sites like Codecademy) would be really handy. If you set this up in a classroom would everyone be able to access it through the browser and work on individual projects?
"I can't let it die, it's my passion. It's what I think about when I wake up, while I work and before I sleep."
Then why don't you make it your day job?
I agree with andyn on the background image. Plain would work better.
Sans-serif font for the tool bar, make that a little larger (and remove 'stuff').
Looks good but keep working at it!
Get some branding up there and social links. I can't see the name of your product (i'm just assuming its Lindavista?) on the site or anyway to interact with your brand. A Twitter 'Follow' button and a button to tweet about the currently playing video would be neat.
Also maybe some sort of header, it's a bit cramped up the top of the page (incorporate this with your logo or just your product name in text perhaps).
Good luck with your project!
I find I suffer from a similar problem. For me I figure the reasoning is based in learning potential; at the beginning of a project or piece of software you have the most to learn. As the project continues you begin to do more and learn less, and since I enjoy learning new things a lot I find myself less motivated to continue and more enthused to start something else (which also will not get finished).
It's a vicious cycle of incomplete work and hyper-learning, but I'm mostly okay with that.
This is my preferred stack to a tee. It's just so flexible. I use it with Grunt and Bower for workflow which makes it a breeze.

I've been thinking about creating a website that sells screencasts for small weekend projects. The pain I'm solving is in trying to find discrete, compact tutorials that go over an entire project from beginning to end in detail. You don't need anything to start it out, you just clone a standard git repo and watch the video (presumably completing the coding at the same time). Each project has a...
I find it great for prototyping. Once things start to get more detailed though I start writing more of my own CSS to fine-tune things.
Reminds a bit of an Instagram for text, nice styles!
On a related note, I find myself reading and saying it more as "Noteography" than "Notegraphy". Not sure why..
Agreed with this hover comment. Maybe slightly more translucent, only covering a fixed height at the bottom of the image, push the two buttons slightly closer together. I reckon that would do the trick nicely! :)
Looks nice. I currently use Draft for writing like this, primarily because it lets me write at work. Login with Twitter isn't permitted on our network (one thing that pains me, otherwise I might write straight into drafts on Medium) so I'll probably stick to Draft for that reason.
