Pito Salas worked on Improv and credited with having invented the "pivot table"
https://github.com/AeneasVerif/aeneas says

"Aeneas currently functionalizes a subset of safe Rust, and we are in the process of extending the functional model with reasoning based on separation logic to support unsafe code and concurrent code."

well, the author got the apk and decompiled it. Then searched where things were happening in the code by grep and then reading it.
there is also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disneyland_with_the_Death_Pena...

Disneyland with the Death Penalty" is a 4,500-word article about Singapore written by William Gibson. It wad his first major piece of non-fiction.

Also because the independent services won't have incentive to resell your data. (to have another income and therefore make their inference cost lower, enabling them to gain over competition)

which is why everyone runs docker on mac, to get shit done.
except

a) model I pick will not 'suddenly' go away

b) I am sure my data stays where I want it

c) my inference mac can run other things if I need to

I pay for that.

Re:AWS Acquires DuckDB on Wednesday August 26, 2026 @11:39AM (#49451056)
RMS promotes GPL, not MIT licensed software.

When a bigger entity (e.g. AWS) decides to undercut the original creator/vendor (e.g. redis, elastic search), MIT code des not help.

because of what /r/stablediffusion is doing.

I assume a not evenly distributed future

it uses https://muscriptor.kyutai.org/

https://kyutai.org/blog/2026-07-10-muscriptor/ says We're releasing MuScriptor, the best open model for multi-instrument transcription to date, created in collaboration with Mirelo. Give it a recording: pop, classical, metal, jazz, whatever, and it transcribes the notes played by every instrument into MIDI, without needing to know in advance what instruments are present.

on their own computer using open weight chinese models?

More seriously

1) >users will generate their own

some people write fanfic, most just watch/read instead.

2) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebel_Without_a_Crew explains how film maker will film, with whatever they have. AI will enable some people to make what is not financially feasible right now for a single person to do.

'Unique' movie/stories creation will continue.

And like with the rest of things AI can do, the question is more 'who's going to pay for person-made vs "algorithmically optimized AI generated story'.

Same question we have of 'AI generated code' vs 'this code was written by a person'.

https://lawshun.com/article/what-is-the-relationship-between... explains the complex relation between EU law and national law.

in a nutshell, EU law takes precedence over conflicting national laws in areas where the EU has competence.

While EU law is directly applicable or requires transposition into national law, member states retain autonomy in areas outside EU competence.

National courts are obligated to interpret domestic law in line with EU law.

National Constitutional Court/Supreme court, occasionally challenge EU law’s supremacy.

A terminal AI coding assistant with a built-in math formalization engine — describe a problem in plain language and it converts it into a Lean 4 theorem and attempts a formal proof.
