Well, if you won't do that, then (instead of arguing) you could learn from someone who made the effort: me.
> being entertaining
Were you entertained when he publicly dissed his pregnant wife for her play in the recent US Championships?
I get it that lots of chess nerds enjoy this kind of thing, but that doesn't make it intelligent.
Or if you like tests ... he himself has mentioned not scoring well on an IQ test.
Maybe you should volunteer on the suicide hotline, as I did.
What makes this guy's blog post a more authoritative reference than 1000 other sites, as well as everyone's personal experience of feeling naturally "good" at some tasks and "bad" at others?
If you've watched a lot of streams or interviews with Hikaru, he gives little indication of being a big brain. Or even an average brain.
I loathe Kramnik and I am saddened and shaken by Danya's death. (We both played at the Mechanics Institute Chess Club.)
Having said all that, the prevailing wisdom in the suicide-prevention field is that we are each responsible for our own decisions. I.e. Kramnik, long may he suffer, is not "responsible."

Anyone who is "anti-Christian" is suddenly a domestic terrorist???!
Wait for his next term - reading anything other than the Bible will be criminalized.
Meanwhile the "progressives" around me probably still think there's no difference between the two parties.
This thread is full of wonderful books! I had a lightning-bolt insight (one of few in my life) when listening that audiobook - the section about the shut-in.
The followup book is worth reading as well.
Different but related: Not Nice, by Aziz Gazipura.
Yeah, I don't know about that. I had many people in my life (including close friends and relatives) who continued to be abusive "it's just fun teasing" even after I asked them to stop.
They are no longer in my life. I don't miss them even a little bit!
OMG. The section (and one central page) in that book about status is one of the most insightful and meaningful things I have ever read
in my entire life!
Once you recognize status transactions ... they are absolutely everywhere, in every single interaction.
Is your belay partner airing out the shoes (ideally outdoors) between sessions, or storing them in a closed bag?
Going by the article, you might try reducing the exposure time.

Like my continuous glucose monitor.
The new "product led" trend seems to be that PMs are much more on the implementation side than on the customer-facing business side.
E.g. I know this guy leading sold-out Product Management workshops in Silicon Valley, who understands nothing at all about actually taking any product to market, about competition, marketing, etc. ... never mind satisfying actual customers.
Because the dating market in India or Saudi Arabia or Ethiopia is so much better than in the US?!
In the online-dating realm, you could have the best soft skills in the world, and they won't matter if the woman swipes left before meeting you.
Yes, plenty of short guys do extremely well. I know a couple. And they have exceptional personalities and self-confidence.
But we can't expect most people to be exceptional, by definition.
It's all about the Ape Index!

Definitely for Adderall, and possibly for birth control, the regulations vary greatly by state.
Of course, it wouldn't surprise me if hormonal birth control were to be Federally banned before this White House is done.
There are non-stimulant ADHD meds as well. Most of us don't get a chance to try all of them.
In fact, I was surprised to learn that Adderall is highly illegal in many countries, including Japan and South Korea(), both of which have a higher standard of healthcare, and a much longer life expectancy, than the US does. In other words, they're not anti-health.
() In theory, you can bring Adderall into South Korea with your American prescription. In practice, not really.
