Gemini team, please add URL query parameter support (?q= or?prompt=)

I've noticed many docs(like Mintlify) or AI products doesn't have "Open in Gemini" button. The reason is simple: gemini.google.com still doesn't support query parameters like q= or prompt=.Of course, we can use Google search(or google.ai?q=), but it's just not the same for those of us who really cares about personalization. If anyone works at Google or knows someone on the Gemini team, please...

Show HN: Caret – The world-most accurate AI meeting notetaker (really)

https://caret.so/en

Hey HN, I’m Chanhee. I built Caret, the world-most accurate AI meeting notetaker.I know you already used lots of notetakers and so do I. I tried Otter, Fireflies, Circleback, Granola, Bluedot, tl;dv, and more, but could not find one that satisfies me.Names and numbers were wrongly transcribed. Summaries don’t give what I really want. So, I decided to build something for myself(and hopefully for...

The pitfall of Open-weight LLMs

Some startups are fine-tuning open LLMs instead of using GPT or Gemini. Sometimes it’s for specific language, sometimes for narrow tasks. But I found they’re all making the same mistake. With a simple prompt (not sharing here), I got several “custom” LLM services to spill their internal system prompts—stuff like security breach playbooks and product action lists. For example, SKT A.X 4.0 (based...

I'm building an AI meeting assistant that can help you "during" the meeting. https://caret.so

Ask HN: Building AI notetaker for immigrant founders. What am I missing?

Hi, I’m building Caret(caret.so), an AI meeting notetaker for immigrant founders. We help immigrant founders/startups to close more sales deals in the US. (Of course, you can just use it — confidently say it is way better than Granola, Otter, and so on)Our product went viral in South Korea, we relocated to US and finding more customers. But I’m thinking about things like ‘Where are they?’,...

Re:The Painful Journey of Building an AI CodeGen Tool on Friday October 18, 2024 @03:52PM (#41882865)
Interesting article on the challenges of making AI products. We faced similar issues with our internal AI bots to cut CSM resources.

Strongly agree... then how can we demonstrate what you’ve mentioned in an overhyped AI market?

FYI: It's a tool that migrates legacy libraries to new ones (e.g., TypeORM → Drizzle, EmotionJS → TailwindCSS). Connect repository, choose the library, and it writes migration code & open a PR.

Ask HN: Early-stage product viral strategies?

I've built a tool and landed a few early customers near by, but I'm struggling to get meaningful feedback. I want more visibility, but I'm not sure where to start. X(Twitter) feels ineffective with my small following. For those who've been through this, what marketing approaches worked in your early days? What didn't? Any insights appreciated.

Re:Ask HN: What tasks are part of your daily work routine? on Thursday September 19, 2024 @11:19PM (#41598492)
curious what kind of tasks you usually do after checking them. maybe you'll find some todos while reading them.. right?

Ask HN: What tasks are part of your daily work routine?

Every morning, I check Grafana logs and metrics for abnormal spikes. If there are any issues, I send them to the CS team. It is a bit tedious.I'm curious about other people's daily/weekly/monthly routine tasks. What repetitive work do you do regularly? How long does it take? Have you considered automating it?
