i vibe coded my entire website. at some point you gotta introduce smart patterns to create controlled chaos. in 6-12 months this will be able to tackle projects of significant complexity. the major breakthrough needed is "code intelligence", not just code mercinaries. someone will crack it, my guess would be anthropic first if they play their cards right. sonnet is still king of the hill

Indeed that’s pretty cool.

more nuance wouldn’t hurt

We’re thinking along the same lines with Common Ground, a social app for communities.

We’re leveraging a coop but also combine it with tokenized ownership.

Yes we’re building exactly that with Common Ground: https://www.commonground.cg/
Re:A vision for the AI web: the real web 3.0 on Monday August 07, 2023 @03:28PM (#37039671)
I think it’s a good article with some food for thought.

TL;DR: Future websites will mostly be APIs interfacing with Local Learning Models (LLMs). This will enable user-driven tasks where agents determine the right sources and interfaces, rendering locally and connecting to necessary APIs.

Agree, prefer to pay for chatgpt then using Microsoft’s free crapware.

That’s why they’re collaborating with IPFS, a p2p content addressed file system

We need web3 to unbreak the web.

Hear me out before you rage-downvote me. “Web3” most of all means a functioning identity model that is platform-independent, user-owned and thus scales the solution to the bot problem beyond the limitations of a single platform.

THANK YOU. I thought I was going insane. This shit is broken. Wow.
But there are constraints on those hidden mechanics as well. Not sure hidden variables theory survives these constraints. Can someone more knowledgeable talk on this?
Re:The richer people get, the more meat they eat on Saturday July 30, 2022 @08:08PM (#32291684)
I think you misunderstood the person you’re responding to. They are saying that the way we take in calories is so far removed from the environment we evolved in that any Darwin comparison is smoke and mirrors. IMHO they are spot on.
Re:Do the people who design airports ever fly? on Sunday July 24, 2022 @04:09AM (#32211398)
This

Everything in the US (and eventually most other places) has been formed by the logic of capital. So of course airports try to make your way to the gate as long as possible, so that you buy shit you don’t need.

Think about what in your life has not been defined by the logic of capital.

Just try it. It’s pretty amazing.
Agree with your sentiment. If we don’t change the underlying incentive structure nothing will change.
Re:Dear Spotify, can we just get a table of songs? on Saturday June 04, 2022 @05:52AM (#31618626)
Foobar2000 was hands down the best time for music in the pc era
This is frankly ridiculous. The interviewed dev complains that web3 makes everything pay to play. If anything, web3 makes it explicit that the internet has become a place that is purely pay to play. Just today you pay with your data and you don’t know the prices.
We’re giving people those spaces in Europe and it’s a massive improvement for both city people and the addicted. Please open your mind.

Amortize is more than that imho. It’s about making a margin too.
Europe has the concept of citizens, not consumers. Americans don’t get this.

It’s become a fancy place for rich people with no taste or ethics.

He had me at „powerhouse of the cell“. But I also remember mitochondria have been separate organisms once that we basically adopted into our own DNA. Hat’s why mitochondrial DNA is used a lot for determining the evolutionary distance between organisms.

Update your facts my friend this criticism is stale and has been superseded by a million major events by now. Read the news or hold back on your deprecated knowledge.
Re:Why Germans remain so jittery about nuclear power on Tuesday January 11, 2022 @06:29AM (#29890134)
Nope. The numbers are such that Germany cannot go back on this. We are committed to the non nuclear path now. And that’s okay. We’re going to make up the lost technology leadership in nuclear with competency in renewables. It’s fine and not the end of world.

I wouldn’t have done it the way Merkel did, I would’ve switched off coal first. But I understand why that wasn’t an option at the time. It’s what it is.
