Re:Mob – A personal CRM as an MCP server on Monday August 03, 2026 @04:57AM (#49153062)
Monica is open source and has a good API. Why would you not hook into that instead of building yet another tool?

You don't mention it, but was AI used to write this? And if so how does its security compare to Monica which is fairly well battle testes at this stage and somewhat reasonable to be putting other peoples personal information into.

I love Centminmod but some of our clients need a UI so we settled on a mix of https://hestiacp.com/ and https://www.cloudpanel.io/
Re:A super fast website using Cloudflare workers on Thursday January 01, 2026 @10:01AM (#46454645)
Another super super fast website is https://www.mcmaster.com/
I compared OctoDNS with DNSControl (https://github.com/StackExchange/dnscontrol) a few years ago and settled with DNSControl because it had more providers out of the box.

But using either of these tools to have your DNS redeploy-able to a new provider is a great idea for resiliency.

https://cachethq.io/ is great for this
Looks cool, but I think the name is very similar to Keeper (https://www.keepersecurity.com/en_GB/enterprise.html)
Re:How I Block All 26M of Your Curl Requests on Friday October 03, 2025 @03:35PM (#45466899)
It exposed their committer email (I know its already public on the site, but still)

You can wget the whole .git folder and look through the commit history, so if at any point something had been pushed which should not have been its available

Re:No more "check mail from other accounts" in Gmail web on Friday October 03, 2025 @03:26PM (#45466798)
Protonmail is a good alternative if its imap restrictions are not a problem for you
What was your motivation to use AI for this instead of simple image analysis?

Re:Show HN: I made a site to tell the time in corporate on Tuesday February 25, 2025 @03:30AM (#43169508)
My work blocks any domains registered in the last 90 days which is a big pain in the ass

When stripe charged you $10 for a chargeback on those transactions, unless stripe has changed its policy recently
Re:Please help me find better blogs to read on Tuesday February 04, 2025 @09:29AM (#42932762)

Re:Facebook.com SSL cert expires in a few days on Wednesday October 23, 2024 @07:47AM (#41923982)
Infact it was only issues in August, so this is probably fairly regularly rotates
Re:Facebook.com SSL cert expires in a few days on Wednesday October 23, 2024 @07:44AM (#41923957)
It expires in a full 7 days, this is not news. I am sure they will renew it before it expires.
Yes, they could (And it seems likely) discontinue the .io domain, first stopping new registrations then giving everyone a timeline to move off it (Hopefully 3-5 years). But if they want to pull the plug they have the authority to do so
Re:macOS Sequoia is available today on Tuesday September 17, 2024 @09:04AM (#41567218)

Re:ReMarkable launch Paper Pro, a colour e-ink tablet on Wednesday September 04, 2024 @10:25AM (#41446232)
Seems like you can, but not clear how easy it is - https://github.com/reHackable/awesome-reMarkable
I came across this blogging tool which also exposes all posts via activity hub which can be followed on Mastodon. Seems like a very nice light weight way to post things into the fediverse
