Personally I am glad no one mentioned that book. It's an overly long blog post with some anecdotes mixed in to stretch it to book length.
That's not something unique to fighting games. That's the concept of playing the metagame.
> Each verb on the first line has a "mate" on the second.
Can you clarify what a "mate" is? What determines a word's "mate"? The position on the line? Their meaning?
Who is the "serious audience" and what is the "core product" they've given up?
What else would you call it? The official announcement of it calls it a headset.
What is your understanding based on?
> killing e.g. a pig is as moral as plucking an apple from a tree.
I don't know how you can make this argument. Does an apple tree feel pain, fear, or loss when it or another apple is plucked?
Crypto has become a shorthand for cryptocurrency. Google "crypto" and see what comes up.
People's feelings of sameness everyday and of time dragging goes beyond the 9-5 schedule. I'm at home all day every day. After hours time doesn't matter because I have limited options for what to do and who to do it with. Same with the weekend. I am home doing the same things I did at home last weekend and the one before and the one before.
Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN?
How would that work for site like Facebook or Instagram or other sites where there is no clear relevant content to target?
You mention the average doctor but what about the average patient? How many people out there do you think will take the time to read through papers and citations and have the understanding to weigh options vs googling symptoms and going with the first result?
Kerning is the amount of spacing between letters. Type with poorly applied kerning is a long standing joke as a way to annoy a designer. Font files can have the amount of kerning between letter pairs built in. This font is Helvetica with very poor kerning built in. It's "hell" for people who care about kerning.
Why #EpsteinStegoSaurus? What could the PGP key being embedded mean?
This is mentioned in the article along with a way for spammers to get around it.
"There is an option that states “No, only show invitations to which I have responded”. This prevents the first method of injecting events from working. However, BHIS found that it is possible to set the target’s response status to “Accepted” using the Google API. This effectively bypasses this security setting."
It doesn't even have to be from people, she could just have a terrible email full of red flags and/or didn't send from a decent ESP with a good server reputation.
Does anyone seriously believe he will do anything? Besides maybe giving Thiel's comments more attention I don't see anything coming from this
> I just don't get how somebody can cook frequently and even semi-seriously and have the fridge, sink, and stove all two or three yards apart.
It works for restaurant kitchens. In my own, definitely not "dream" kitchen, I find I would like more space so that my prep area isn't also my pre-wash staging area and my stove isn't coating everything I need to store around it with steam.
I'm not familiar with The Register and haven't seen this anywhere else. Does any know of another source that is reporting on this?
I currently still use tables everyday in my job as an email dev. Tables might not be "wrong" but they have serious limitations that have to be worked around.
Depends on how the targeting is done. You can be aware of a product but not looked into it or purchased it. In that case the targeting is trying to move you along to become a customer.
How is tipping at a bar harder? You just write on the bill what amount to want to tip when you close your tab.
You're probably being downvoted for not explaining what the book taught you that makes you cringe. Saying you read a book and now look down on some common, innocuous matter comes off as pretentious if you don't bother to give any insight.

Seems like a useful term to know. Too bad the wikipedia article is too dense to understand.
> I took a quick look at one the courses, and it seems the lectures are not taught by David Malan, but people in his team.
I think this is important to keep in mind. I watched all of CS50 and then moved on to the React Native course and the quality of the lectures was not the same. They were still informative but for anyone ready to dive into these know the experience will not be the same.
