The xkcd comic is a really cool idea. I enjoyed seeing my wrapped, thanks!
Re:Small Engines on Thursday April 09, 2026 @01:07PM (#47706254)
Reminds me of Feynman's 'There's Plenty of Room at the Bottom'. He discusses miniaturizing ICE engines in page 5 - bottom left paragraph.

Off peak for China or US
It's been a while since I've used it but Google cloud shell is a good free platform for learning Linux commands as well

You can use Gemini or NotebookLM to summarize it
OP is probably talking about shared vCPUs, not dedicated
Re:School Cell Phone Bans and Student Achievement (NBER Digest) on Tuesday December 02, 2025 @12:58PM (#46124180)
Two years after the imposition of a student cell phone ban, student test scores in a large urban school district were significantly higher than before, David N. Figlio and Umut Özek find in The Impact of Cell Phone Bans in Schools on Student Outcomes: Evidence from Florida (NBER Working Paper 34388).

Paper: https://www.nber.org/papers/w34388

Helps with the cooling is my guess. Increased surface area
Re:Ollama Web Search on Thursday September 25, 2025 @05:08PM (#45379114)
YaCy (https://yacy.net) can do all this I think. Cloudflare might block you IP pretty soon though if you try to crawl.

Lesswrong is a AI Safety related forum. There have been previous funding posts on lesswrong. Can check them out.

https://www.lesswrong.com/tag/grants-and-fundraising-opportu...

Also, it would be better if you reach out to the other blogs since they might have some doubts regarding this program of yours.

You might be able to reach the intended audience at lesswrong forum. Can also ask Zvi (https://thezvi.substack.com/), astralcodexten, Marginal Revolution to publicize this.
Yes and you host out of someplace like Russia where the US publishers can't get you.
https://internet-in-a-box.org/ might come in handy.

Facebook tried the same in India but was quickly shutdown: https://www.wired.com/2016/02/facebooks-free-basics-app-is-n...

That looks like a generic Chinese USB audio card and they are sold for much less where I live (~$1.5). Aliexpress has a ton of them around that price level.

You have the option of deleting and posting again I think. Anyways good luck.

Wikimedia search seems to work better for most searches I tried, possibly because of the manual tags etc.

You might want to include examples where your search is better or just a faq on how to use it.

Nice idea though. It does seem to come in handy when you don't have descriptions of images. Eg: https://github.com/haltakov/natural-language-image-search

Also, you might want to change the title so that it appeals to people outside the ML field. Not many devs are familiar with OpenAI Clip. Otherwise an awesome project, this is something I wanted to make myself.
You might get better response if you changed the title to include "Show HN:"
