My open source project (https://github.com/du82/nonograph) spawns a Tor hidden service with Onion-Location advertising by default, and on the Docker container its always on and self-healing

It is meaningless, yes. It's not any more meaningful than trading crypto or betting on whether the basketball player will tie his shoe.

I work remotely at companies until they fire me for doing the minimum. I still get paid for the two to three weeks, so I couldn't care less because the money goes towards my hobbies.

Do workers really care about productivity? As long as I get paid that's what matters.

cant the boomers just go to nursing already so we can forget them and build our own internet with our own ideas?
the internet isn't "dead" its turning inwards towards private group chats and less public discourse.

I wasn't alive in the 90s, so for me it was 2012-2015. Android was pretty open, iOS was easier to jailbreak, and the ecosystem felt a lot "freer" than today where you step outside of Google or Apple's garden and get endless Cloudflare captchas, apps refuse to load due to attestation, and things are designed without privacy in mind.

They seem to be lying about "zero metadata". Why would anyone use such a legacy protocol for "secure" instant messaging?

It is 100% legitimate, not "creative writing". The only value in college is the piece of paper to get a job. If you can get a job by lying about having the paper, even better!

Qwen does generate everything, so I'm not exactly sure. It wasn't anything too unique, so it could've easily learned and regurgitated it from any one of hundreds of sites.
+1 on Qwen Vision, its far better than anything else I've seen, and its open source, woo!
What are Western models for other than being the ethics police when you ask about something controversial, if the Chinese models are superior and lack the moral / ethical BS? Don't trust China? Self-host Chinese models or host in AWS and verify the output!

China has had the requirement to "bind" online accounts to ID for almost a decade. No one complained because they already verified with Weixin (WeChat) so they just linked their accounts to it.
