We tell you what are the most ticketed blocks and neighborhood in SF where more than $124m worth of parking tickets were issued
Hi HN,

This is Hamza, co-founder of SpotAngels.

We are excited to launch the Android version of SpotAngels. Our iOS users save an average of $106 a year in parking tickets

We started building Spot Angels the day we got our car towed and had to pay $569 to get it back :) The idea behind SpotAngels is simple. The app sends you reminders before street cleaning, tow away or any other parking restriction without requiring any action from you.

The app knows all the restrictions in 25 cities including SF, NYC, LA, Chicago, Boston, Seattle and London. The data is more than 95% accurate and constantly updated by the community.

If you have a Bluetooth speaker in your car, you can connect it to the app and it will automatically save your parking location and set up a reminder for you. When you turn off your car, the Bluetooth disconnects from the app and your parking location is saved. If you don't have a Bluetooth speaker, you just need to open the app and save your parking location each time you want to set-up a parking reminder.

I hope you will enjoy it. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Re:Vatler (YC S14) wants to be your on-demand valet on Monday August 18, 2014 @07:03PM (#8195174)
thank you @sargun for the brilliant analysis. I am Vatler co-founder. The reason why we start with the office use-case is essentially because we can predict the demand, break deals with garages nearby and build our network of valet at low cost. Next step is the anywhere, anytime use-case. It's going to be huge :)

Re:Your FBLogin sucks and you don't know it on Wednesday June 18, 2014 @04:43PM (#7912731)
I have been asked many questions and here are more details 1- FB Api did not return anything when I asked for the email 2- I am not sure but I think that during the verification process of your account, Facebook automatically change your primary email address. All the users that had a phone number instead of their email had their old college email address that did not work anymore and Facebook deleted it from their account 3- A way to monitor the number of errors is to log all the FB Login error in your code or with Mix Panel

Your FBLogin sucks and you don't know it

I am co-founder of Sweetch. We develop an iPhone app to help drivers find parking on-street instantly in San Francisco. 10% of our users did not manage to login to our app because of FBLogin and I just figured out why. We used to ask FB API for the email address of our users. It turned out that, in some cases, the new FB API doesn't return this information even when the user give you the...
