Re:Firefox moving to 4 week releases on Tuesday September 17, 2019 @06:40PM (#21000811)
On firefox I get a thing that says "we need to update really quick, sorry!" You click "ok" and the browser restarts and reloads everything. Seems to be a pretty good solution to the problem you describe.
I hear this dev tools argument occasionally, but I don't really get it. The Firefox dev tools seem just as good to me. What am I missing?

Huh, I also work in downtown Seattle but have never experienced any of this. I very rarely see shit/vomit, have never seen a needle on a bus, have never been spit at or attacked.

Re:Ask HN: How do you keep your files organized on macOS? on Thursday March 07, 2019 @02:24PM (#19331249)
I love fzf. I recently discovered that installing a fast search tool like ripgrep makes fzf _way_ faster over large directory trees.

Re:Aminal: Golang terminal emulator from scratch on Wednesday November 28, 2018 @03:00AM (#18549943)
I've been using alacritty, another new-ish GPU accelerated terminal emulator, and I can confirm that its performance is better than gnome-terminal or similar. So at least there is something to this idea.
