interesting, do you think there's value in having this available to the public?
Yes, once their price targets are loaded into Analyst Index, they can't delete anymore and they will be held to account, regardless of their actions on a social media platform.
Yes, this is insightful, thanks for sharing. It would be some considerable effort for a buy side analyst to "analyze" a sell side analyst and get the gist of what they were really saying. I think relationships have a lot to do with why this happens.

I was hoping to attract more independent analysts to the platform whose incentives are aligned with the individual investors/retail investors who would subscribe to them. I was hoping that the quality of their research would be higher, but this remains to be seen.

My thinking is that this would work for long term investing rather than short term trading. You're right that there's competition for trading, I read that Robinhood is getting active in rating traders based on their actual trades as well, but haven't confirmed it.
Yes! Youtube was in part what inspired all of this. But watching through so many channels might be time consuming, so scraping price targets in that way could end up very exhausting...

Also one problem I have noticed is that Youtubers will tend to delete their price target videos that didn't work out, making it seem like they had an immaculate track record of predictions.

Thanks for your perspective and insight. Yes, most sell side research is marketing or relationship management, so the quality of the calls is low.
It's true xD I think I saw a Guardian article about cats outperforming these sell side analysts or some other bunch with stock picking. https://www.theguardian.com/money/2013/jan/13/investments-st...
Acknowledge that a platform like this will be a target for gaming. Please try to break it and tell me how you did it.

That might feel like loyalty, but from a portfolio perspective, it’s concentration risk.I wanted to build a tool...

Show HN: Equity Copilot – AI-powered equity grant assistant for tech employees

https://equitycopilot.app/

It’s an AI-based decision engine that helps new hires and employees figure out how to allocate their equity grants. You input your offer...

I was formerly employed on a H1B visa until 2020. Will I be able to reuse that H1B visa for employment at a startup, or would I have to reapply for a H1B visa?
