If it's likely to save you time, either now or in the future, then it's probably a good idea to use.

Saving time is a good metric because it subsumes so much else.

1. Bugs = time 2. Features = time 3. Refactoring = time

This is great! Very well done.
Hi,

I just went through the same process - moving to London from New Zealand. I found that I had the most success when I directly applied to companies that I had a very very close fit with, rather than the more generic jobs. My feeling for more general jobs was that the companies weren't really interested in putting the time in if they couldn't meet me in person - but for jobs where I was a good fit they went out of their way to make it easy for me to interview.

I would recommend just picking a random company and putting some effort into an application for them, then rinse and repeat.

That's cool! What's a travelling wave reactor?

Ha I love this!

Ask HN: What are your crazy tech ideas?

If you could work on absolutely any problem in tech / science, what would it be?Rules:- assume you have access to capital - assume you don't have to move - assume you can work on it full time - it has to be plausible, but doesn't have to currently be possible (time travel is out, large scale human cloning is in)I'm interested in people's seemingly crazy ideas.

Ha whoops, thank you for noticing this -- I've updated the answer.
That's actually why I made it so nothing happens after you answer a question. Ideally you open a tab and every now and then you take a minute or so to think one over and answer.
You're absolutely right, thanks for noticing this. There was also a bug with the parentheses I hadn't caught.
Great suggestion - I'll add an option to disable that.
Scores will be coming in the next few days. I'm also planning on adding an (opt-in) leaderboard so you can see how you compare to other people.

Is a leaderboard something that would appeal to you?

Thank you, it's fixed now.
It will be coming this week or next - I'll reply here when I've released it.
Thanks for pointing this out! It's fixed now
Re:Show HN: Kyoko – Manage anxiety with a simple tool on Sunday October 21, 2018 @01:41AM (#18266884)
Thanks - that's good to know. I'll add some more information tonight.

For reference Kyoko is designed to help people understand their own anxiety by simply being open and honest about it. It can be used anonymously (so the thoughts you write disappear immediately) or you can sign in and your thoughts are saved. I plan on adding a link to see what you've written in the past.

Not if you live in New Zealand with naturally low fluoride levels!
I'm building a framework for this type of use case - atlasreality.xyz

Render HTML components in AR / VR.

I'd love to chat - [email protected] if you're interested.

This is great - will definitely be using it. Thank you!

This is really great! Being able to deploy without installing anything + having the pricing set per API call is exactly what I've been needing.
