Yeah that's a big thing that's missing. Working on getting the docs live ASAP once they're all finished up. Thank you

Had a lot of feedback about the copy so I've made a bunch of changes. Keeping in mind "you" and "developers" etc has really helped me better understand the goals of the copy so thank you!

Show HN: dEv-Commerce. The headless E-Commerce solution

https://devcommerce.co.uk

Hi, I'm extremely excited to introduce dEv-Commerce. By creating a headless E-Commerce platform, we're making E-Commerce sites more flexible, scalable, and improving performance. All in one simple API. E-Commerce sites are hard to build and existing solutions aren't fit for purpose. We've turned that on its head so that E-Commerce sites are easy to build and fit for...

Hi all, I've written my first ever blog post and would love to get some feedback on how I can improve it along with how I can make future posts better. The post is about Wyckoff accumulation schematics in trading (not the most interesting topic to most :P). Any and all feedback is much appreciated, thanks!

Show HN: I've created a trading journal website

https://trackyourtrades.co.uk/

Hi all, Been a while since I've posted and in the time since I have created a trading journal website where you can submit and track your trades with the USP of tracking your outgoings too. There has been a huge rise in the number of retail traders (me included) and a lot of people now have the very real possibility of quitting their day jobs and trading full time. I want to help people do...

Ricky Gervais does a whole special taking the mick out of Christianity. Do you also think he shouldn't be allowed to do that?

Or is it only trans people you don't think people should be able to joke about?

Your comment, like speech in general I admit, doesn't tell the whole truth.

"Again, the only 'accommodation' that is asked is to just let them live."

This isn't true as they are asking that comedians to not make jokes about them. Dave Chapelle nor any comedian that I know of go around saying trans people should not be allowed to live. Or have I missed something?

You minimise it as "being in a book". The book is: "a publication by the American Psychiatric Association for the classification of mental disorders". Are you part of the psychiatric field?
Where did they say they weren't acknowledging or accomodating trans people? Original comment clearly acknowledges trans people exist?
I don't think it's in a comedians job description to take anything seriously

Doesn't everybody get potentially life changing medical advice from Hacker news?
And in return for the price you pay you get the asset. So price == value in the world of stocks
after the price falls I believe he buys back 51% stake rather than starting a new
you may believe that your positions are worth more than their current price but the reality is that they aren't otherwise they would be selling at the higher price. the price of an asset is its true value
your comment about the price being $70 a year ago seems off to me. that's not the value now so why should it be seen as such? if you were buying a house worth $400,000 and made an offer of $540,000 but were told no, this house was worth $700,000 a year ago the value of this fictional house now is still $400,000

spectacle will solve your snapping problems. gives windows / Linux snapping.
You could always suggest the book that the quote is from for purchase. Once you have built a user base it could be worth reaching out to book shops for some form of partnership (or for them to buy the app outright).
Re:Ask HN: How did you decide which product to build? on Tuesday August 24, 2021 @04:43PM (#28294747)
I think you already know the answer. Just build things that fix problems you have. If there is a market for it they will find your solution, if not, you will have a solution to your product.

If you are building something to make money, you most likely wont make money and it sucks for your mentality. If you build something you enjoy, you have fun, learn something and then if it makes money that's a bonus.

That would be cool. Personally if I ever want a quote I want a motivational one so that I can stop goofing around and do some work. Maybe something that works out what sort of quotes I do / don't like would be a cool feature
Wasn't this known as soon as they announced it? Pornhub had to delete a huge chunk of their content because banks weren't happy with it and stared to withhold payments
It's a cool concept but Tinder leads somewhere in the future. Do you have any ideas of where this would lead? Why would I spend my time swiping?
Re:AI as a Hype Tool on Tuesday August 24, 2021 @04:33PM (#28294625)
I happily admit I have only read the title here but you cannot be a multi-million $$$ startup unless you use AI somewhere in your stack. Change my mind
Re:The Coronavirus Is Here Forever on Monday August 23, 2021 @04:31PM (#28281507)
I don't think anybody that's unvaccinated wants any restrictions either. So if it was proposed there would be no more restrictions on society would you still turn away unvaccinated people from hospital? Going off your logic they are no longer impacting your freedoms.
Re:The Coronavirus Is Here Forever on Monday August 23, 2021 @04:29PM (#28281485)
Take out the word more and I will stand by what I said. Also you might have less chance of getting infected but you also are less likely to develop symptoms and so will most likely not isolate when you are infected.

You are trying to condense a very complex scenario into a very simple argument.

Re:The Coronavirus Is Here Forever on Monday August 23, 2021 @04:28PM (#28281468)
1) We don't know this is true. We know that people that have been vaccinated show much less symptoms and are therefore less likely to get a test which can explain the lower positive test rate.

2) Again to point 1

3) They will most likely spread it back to said vaccinated people who are less likely to get sick

4) Back to point 3

5) Has this been proved anywhere?

6) For the time being. The delta variant only mutated 12 months after the first infection

Yes we do. But do we have yearly winter lockdowns to protect the vulnerable from flu?

When did adults become so afraid of kids? :D
