Re:I trained a 360M model to pretend to be a terminal on Thursday October 22, 2026 @07:40AM (#50193994)
I guess, with enough latency and/or memory, everything can be a filesystem
Re:Mistral Large 4 on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @04:29PM (#50187167)
you can see the same thing with any models
Re:Deno Is Joining Cloudflare on Friday October 09, 2026 @09:33AM (#50020322)
Congrats. But also terrible news for the ecosystem; this project was a bit doomed from the start, and they acknowledge it multiple times (implicitly), but nice to have competition, I guess.

Ultimately I only trust Node.js to succeed. Bun being too deep into "shipping anything that increases usage".

We need to regulate the shit out of this kind of stuff. Flat out ban all data collection by home devices.
Re:What is going on with ceiling fans on Monday October 05, 2026 @05:59AM (#49962809)
I bought a ceiling fan last year for my bedroom (the best investment in Europe; do it while you can). It was surprising hard to find a good normal one.

You will actually need to dig deep and order from some shady websites to get one in regular wood with a regular shape.

Re:Why MCP Was Always a Bad Idea on Monday September 21, 2026 @07:22AM (#49785787)
MCP is now only good at getting credentials from any source. If SaaS cared about their API the same way we would have OAuth for all APIs, MCP would just die
Re:ZuckOff Know when a camera is in the room on Monday September 21, 2026 @07:20AM (#49785767)
I was going to say: can't wait for EU to regulate this, but they already did!
Vercel doing Vercel: 5 days old, entirely vibecoded, already 1.5k stars for no reason, solves no one's issue and will stop being maintained in a few months (if more than this week).
Re:Future euro banknote design proposals on Friday July 24, 2026 @07:27AM (#49034021)
I love they don't explain what's in the banknote. Am I suppose to know everything? jeez
Re:GPT‑Live on Wednesday July 08, 2026 @01:46PM (#48834928)
GPT-Live being developed in california and being an over-active listener...
The first sentence already contains an emdash ahah
I have yet to have used UNLOGGED table in production, but I really want to try at some point. Anybody actually replaced a large Redis instance with this?
Re:Why eval startups fail (2025) on Wednesday June 24, 2026 @06:52AM (#48657893)
evals are glorified integration tests, would you invest in an integration test startup? absolutely not. I don't get why we are making all of this fuzz around evals
People will complain, but eventually Europe will still be in advance regarding this kind of law. It's annoying and sometimes slows down innovation but US companies are just doing whatever makes money without restrictions...

Re:Flipper One – we need your help on Thursday May 21, 2026 @08:39AM (#48221703)
I have read the whole thing, and I'm not sure what you would build with it. Can anyone give me some examples? I'm genuinely curious.
I'll be happy when we get credit cards without a visa or mastercard logo
Re:Google changes its search box on Tuesday May 19, 2026 @05:12PM (#48199723)
How much longer can the internet survive if we just stop sending traffic to websites?
Not entirely related, but Google Maps is still showing satellite images from 5 years ago in Paris, one of the most visited cities in the world, and it's not even updated once a year. I don't get it.
the title is incorrect; it's not a github error but php composer's github action. cc @dang before people freak out
Re:Mythos Finds a Curl Vulnerability on Monday May 11, 2026 @04:36AM (#48092502)
They might be biased by the fact that curl is significantly more secure than the average software
Re:I returned to AWS, and was reminded why I left on Sunday May 10, 2026 @09:49AM (#48083965)
To this day I still don't understand why people love AWS. It's overly complex, full of dark patterns, and not even that good compared to alternatives.
